Clerical life at Žebrák in the high Middle Ages

The main subject of the Bachelor's degree work is monitoring the Church administration in the region in 14th century and at the beginning of the 15th century. The region Žebrácko laid in the deanery of Brdy, whose structure the author describes in the first part of the work. On the basis of the analysis of the sources, the author seeks to create an inventory of parish priests in the parish churches of St. William in Praskolesy, St. Giles in Hořovice and St. Lawrence in Žebrák. The work describes the mobility, education and other activities of individual parish priests. The author also explains the issue of the chapel of St. Procopius, in Praskolesy, in which were found the frescoes in 2005 from 14th century. The work also deals with the question of the patrons rights of individual churches. In this context, the author describes the rotation of the owners in selected areas, as it often held the patrons rights. The last part of the work deals with the Visitation protocol of the Prague achdeacon Paul of Janovice from the years 1379 -1382. The work describes his journey by the deanery of Brdy and focuses on the canonical visitation of monitored sites. Profile of Synods of the Evangelical Church of Czech Brethren after the year 1990

This thesis looks at the general character of the synod of the Evangelical church of Czech Brethern (ČCE), based on archival documents since 1990. (The) first chapter describes how the Synod functions within the church and briefly mentions the issue of coping with communism, especially how some pastors got involved politically. I also touch on the events of the Velvet Revolution. The next chapter focuses on an analysis of the Synod's work based on classifying the synod's resolutions into different catogories. The results are given in three diagrams. The goal of this analysis is to show which types of resolutions dominate and which types are more unusual. The third more extensive chapter deals with the most important topics being resolved in the synod. It describes the origin of …, its progress and consequences for the church. To show the character of the ČCE Synod, I highlight its internal discussions regarding church law, the practical and theological discussions on …(church education, ordination and baptism…). Then I discuss the ČCE Social Welfare organisation, a free standing topic, as well as subjects that have revealed the Synod's views. This third group address the church's outside concerns. The Development of Foundation Agenda for Churches and Parishes in Territory of City České Budějovice and Its Surroundings in 14. and 15. Century

The main aim of this diploma thesis is to explain the method of financing charity and secure funding church institutions situated on the territory of city of České Budějovice in the Middle Ages. The work is divided into six chapters. The first part consists of describing the development of Church administration in Bohemia from beginning of Christianity to the Middle Ages. The second chapter presents the person of parish priest and describes the function of the parish. On this passage follows a treatise of the right of patronage. The theoretical part of this thesis is concluded with a chapter which explains the general financial insurance and patronage support of parishes. The practical part is devoted to the development of foundation agenda in České Budějovice and also brings the structure of rural parishes and parish networks in the vicinity of this city. The work includes the list of used sources, literature and attachments. The annexes include tables containing summary data from municipal book of donation records, the main source of this thesis. It also contains tables relating the occupation the parish benefices by parish priest as well as the photographs of mentioned churches.
