Variability of the linear description of the cold-blooded horses in the Czech Republic
RYBNÍČKOVÁ, Karolína
The aim of the study was to compare the cold-blooded breeds of horses bred in the Czech Republic in terms of variability of shaping the exterior and observe differences among the monitored breeds. It was a breed: Czech-Moravian Belgian horse (CMB), Norick (N)and Silesian Norick horse (SN). Whereas these breeds are originated on a different genetic basis and under different conditions, it is assumed that there is difference between them in the formation of physical characteristics. The results showed that the cold-blooded breeds varies highly statistically in these characters: the withers height measured by tape (WHT), circumference of tibia (CT), type, scope, length of neck, deployment of neck, withers length, length of back, loins length, crop length, the slope of the croup, the width of the body scoop , position of the hind limbs, spaciousness of step. For example, a significant difference among breeds was found in WHT, which has the smallest SN and distinguished it from the other two breeds. Furthermore differs CMB, which has the smallest CT, and thus differs it from N and SN. SN has the longest frame of body and the smallest chest circumference of the studied breeds. The highest deploymentof of neck and the shortest neck was detected in CMB in comparison with N and SN. At an average the longest spine was evaluated in SN and the shortest spine was in the CMB. The best spaciousness of step is evaluation in SN. The correlations among selected characters were monitored too. Strong dependence was found between WHT and WHS (withers height measured by stick) in all three breeds.
The utilization of the Czech Solver, the rabbit breed, in Czech Republic
PRAVDOVÁ, Lenka
The bachelor thesis focuses on the utilization of the Czech Solver, a Czech national rabbit breed, which is registered in The National Programme on Conservation of genetic resources of plants, animals and micro-organisms for Food and Agriculture. The Czech Solver, differ other rabbit breeds, is not used for meat or pelt production. It was originally invented to be able to confirm or disprove the purebred origin of the tested animal, hence the name solver. In the genetic code of Czech Solver's fur, four out of five alleles are recessive, which enables the animal to determine the purebred pedigree of a different rabbit breed when the two individuals are crossbred. It is described the required exterior of the Czech Solver is described and the breed is compared to other foreign breeds of the same genetic code. The work includes legislature, organization structure, conditions and possibilities of gaining a financial support for pure breeding of this breed, as well as suggests solutions how to increase the Czech Solver population.
The Utilization of the evaluation of performance and exterior warmblood mares for breeding
VEJVODOVÁ, Pavlína
The objective of this thesis is to compare methodologies of judging the exterior and performance of three-year-old (possibly older) mares of warmblood breeds in the Czech republic and in selected European horse breed associations. The mare exterior and performance assessment results can be used as reference material in breeding programmes. The subject of comparison is methodologies of assessing mares of Czech Warmblood, Holsteiner horse, Hanover horse, Oldenburg horse, SF, KWPN, and Austrian Warmblood. The attributes and properties being the subject of evaluation have been divided into certain groups and these groups have been compared based on their percentages made up of overall scores among individual breed associations. In the thesis, a set of 2197 mares of Czech Warmblood entered in the studbook and having passed performance tests in the period of 2005 ? 2012 is investigated. Fundamental statistic characteristics are determined such as a number, score average, standard deviation, minimum, and maximum. In order to evaluate possibilities for selection intensity, decile bands have been identified for selected attributes and properties - such as exterior in entering in the studbook, performance tests, trot, and canter of entries in the studbook. Inasmuch as the values determined in each decile considerably vary, especially in reference to judging the trot and canter mechanisms in entering mares in the studbook, it is necessary to weight the successfulness of using these indicators as selection criteria. The variability in values being determined and their levels that do not correspond to normal distribution, indicate lack of objectivity in assessing the horse movement mechanism in entering mares into the studbook. Average scores are for exterior = 7.50, performance = 7.70, walk = 7.49, and for trot = 7.50.
The history and current status of breeding Akhalteke horses
ŠULCOVÁ, Veronika
Akhal-Teke horse breed is one of the oldest and most valuable breed in the world. Its specific exterior has been created for centuries by inhospitable conditions of Turkmenistan. In the history, the existence of Akhal-Teke (AT) was challenged by many crisis which causes almost breed extinction. Even though, the population of AT horses is nowadays stable, the breed is still enlisted on the list of endangered animal species. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to explore and describe historical development as well as current AT horse breed situation in the Czech Republic. Furthermore the thesis will focus on AT horse exterior and its nature. The exterior and AT nature will be followed by basic description of individual AT breed lines and breeding method in Turkmenistan. Additionally, the thesis will reveal the origins of AT breed in the Czech Republic and will evaluate the Czech AT horses sport performance. The main goal of the thesis is to compare the basic body measurements and indexes of AT thoroughbred stallions operating in the Czech Republic, with AT breeding standards and AT stallions enlisted in the last AT breed book. The basic body measurements for the AT horses are described by indexes such as KVH (height measurement with stick), SDT (diagonal length of horse body), OH (heart girth) and Ohol (shank girth). Considering previously stated horse body measurement indicators, the average body measurement of the Czech AT breed stallions are as follow: 156,9, 159, 176,3, 19,2 cm. The average body indexes of breed AT thoroughbreds stallions in Czech were indexes of body format (101,3), index of compactness (110,8), index of robustness (112,37), index of boniness (12,25), and index of spine strength (10,9). 73,33% of thoroughbred AT stallions operating in the Czech Republic fulfill the AT breeding standard requirements.
Game - interactiva releations of objects and exterior space
ČÁBELOVÁ, Marcela
This theoretical and practical thesis is focused on games. In the theoretical part there is a summary of basic knowledge of game from the philosophical, psychological and pedagogical perspective. In practical part there are some suggestionsand illustration of the game objects and their using and visualization in exterior.
Exterior evaluation in relation to the performance of warmblood mared
VEJVODOVÁ, Pavlína
This thesis deals with the relationship between the exterior and performance of three-year old warmblood mares. The impact of the exterior annd the performance of examined horses is evaluated. In the overall file of mares are monitored average values of the total marks for each character. The exterior of the overall sample rated the overall average mark 7,46 points, for an overall performance evaluation of a set of mares 7,33 points. The overall file of mares is selected for the busiest stallions, which are evaluated according to ferquency of the stallions. It was found that there wasn't significant difference between the 10 busiest mares stallions and mares for other stallions. Top scores were evaluated for the free jumping ( x = 7,798 points), willingness for work and character ( x = 7,750 points) and congenital abilities ( x = 7,725 points). The lowest marks were awarded for walk ( x = 7602 points), cavaletti (= 7,610 points) and trot ( x = 7,617 points).
Current requirements to exteriors warm-blooded mares
SMOLÍKOVÁ, Alena
This thesis deals with the current requirements on building exteriors warm-blooded mares. Correct and objective assessment of the exterior shape of mares is one of the most important criteria for the classification of mares in the Stud Book. The quality of exterior features formation is the requirement according to which we assume the horses can be used for other classic sport disciplines they are currently breeding for. Regarding to this matter the target of this work was the evaluation and specification of the differences mentioned in the processed preview as for the requirements on shaping the exterior of mares bred in Czech Republic and mainly mares bred in Germany. In conclusion, all above mentioned differences are assessed.
