To create calculation model and the solution was implamented in the computer systém ANSYS 11.0 and ANSYS Workbench.
Stress - strain analysis of jaw with tooth implant type VNI
Školník, Roman ; Fuis, Vladimír (referee) ; Florian, Zdeněk (advisor)
This diploma thesis is dealt with stress-strain analysis of jowl with teeth implants. Teeth implants when locked in place (jowl) have the ability to replace and be used in the same way as the missing teeth. The implant creates a pillar column in the buccal cavity and then the tooth cap or bridge is secured on the pillar column. In this diploma thesis it is described as a solution of stress and strain of two types of cylindrical teeth implants VNI. Thesis specializes on the influence of deviation implant from the vertical axis. The solution is accomplished in program ANSYS Workbench by Finite Element Method (FEM). The geometric models are made in program SolidWorks 2005.
Analysis of dental implants in the context of current standards
Šlajs, Ondřej ; Hájek, Petr (referee) ; Marcián, Petr (advisor)
Presented bachelor thesis focuses on geometry production of dental implants from real samples and their stress-strain analysis all in the context of the current standards. In the first part of the thesis research ranging from the basic anatomy to the geometry of implant threads is presented. In the next part, the current standards applicable to dental implants are presented and explained. The last part is focused on the description of the geometry of studied implants and their stress-strain behavior. All this is in context with valid standards.
Stress-strain analysis of dental implant inserted in different mandibles
Diakovová, Tereza ; Thomková, Barbora (referee) ; Marcián, Petr (advisor)
This thesis deals with a problem in the field of dental implantology, namely the mechanical interaction between the dental implant and the bone tissue of the mandible. This interaction is affected by the shape and density of the bone tissues. A review of studies dealing with mechanical stresses at the bone-implant interface is carried out. The obtained information were further used in the analysis of bone tissue density and in the strain-stress analysis of three geometrically different jaws with an implant placed in the first molar region. Bone density was evaluated based on information obtained from CT scans of the individual jaws. For evaluation of the deformation-stress states was used computational modelling using the finite element method. Three models of jaw geometries were created based on CT images. The implant was loaded from masticatory forces at the moment of bite. Based on the results, it can be stated that the shape and thickness of the cortical bone tissue and the density of spongiosis have a significant influence on the deformation-stress states of the bone-implant interface.
System to support decision making in dental implantology - quality of life of patients with dental implants

Title: System to support decission making in dental implantology - quality of life of patients with dental implants Author: MUDr. Pavel Kříž Department: Paediatric Stomatology of 2nd Medical School and Faculty Hospital Motol, V Úvalu 84, 150 06 Prague 5 Supervisor: Prof. MUDr. Taťjana Dostálová, DrSc., MBA Supervisor's e-mail: tatjana.dostalova@fnmotol.cz Dental implants are the method of choice in the treatment of missing tooth/teeth replacement. Implant therapy must be preceded by a detailed examination and the overall treatment plan. As an aid for decision-making for dentists was created decision-making scheme, which gradually, logically and schematically guides the dentists in this particular situation. Health is closely related to the quality of life. Our work evaluates the oral health-related quality of life (OHRQoL) of patients with dental implants. The aim of our study was to determine whether treatment with a dental implant(s) improve(s) OHRQoL. We created a questionnaire to determine the quality of life before and after implantation. In our study, we evaluated only patients who were treated by the only one implantological system to eliminate the influence of other systems on the quality of the results of the study; we evaluated a total of 297 implants. It was assessed a total of 97...
Effect of location and orientation of dental implant on stress-strain states in mandibular bone
Thomková, Barbora ; Valášek, Jiří (referee) ; Marcián, Petr (advisor)
The master’s thesis deals with issues belonging to the field of dental biomechanics, specifically the mechanical interaction of dental implants with the bone tissue of the mandible. The thesis focuses on the stress-strain analysis of the mandible with the implant inserted in different positions, with a different angle relative to the occlusal plane. The solution is performed by computational modeling using the finite element method. The geometry model of mandible was created based on CT images. The aim of the master’s thesis was also to compare the influence of the choice of the material model of cancellous bone tissue on the resulting stress-strain states of the mandible with the dental implant. Three material models of cancellous bone tissue were created - two homogeneous material model and a heterogeneous material model, which was based on CT image data. The work also investigates the effect of rotation (+5° or -5°) of implants in basic positions on the resulting stress-strain states. The stress-strain analysis showed that position and rotation has a greater effect on the stress and strain of bone tissue and implant than the chosen material model of cancellous bone tissue.

Pikal, Bohumil ; Kouřil, Karel (referee) ; Kalivoda, Milan (advisor)
The topic of this bachelor thesis is an insight into dental implantation. The first part of the thesis presents the introduction of manufacturing processes in medicine, presentation and overview of dental implants, including the description of materials used. The second part introduces a proposal for the production of a particular type of implant according to the conventional method and also the version of the production on CNC machines. The final part brings the technical and economical evaluation of the production.
Stents and their applications in medicine
Sokl, Antonín ; Němec, Karel (referee) ; Molliková, Eva (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis, which deals with types of stents and their use in medical area, is the provision od detailed reserches of the most frequently used biomaterials, namely details of metals, ceramics, polymers and composites, considering the suitability of their use for the production of substitutes for particular human body structures. The introductory chapters are devoted to external and internal fixation for fractures, dental implants and replacement of renal function. The following chapters deals with stents and their possible variations, especially the chapters are about esophageal stents, prostatic stents and ureteral stents. The final part of this thesis contains a detailed definition of coronary stents, their functional and shape modifications.
Biomechanical analysis of bone implant contact for different type of implant profiles
Svobodová, Miriam ; Chamrad, Jakub (referee) ; Marcián, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the assessment of the influence of the dental implant diameter placed in the bone with a fixed connection between the bone and the given implant on the strain into the bones around the implant, the deformation throughout the system and the stress in the implant. Computational modeling with finite element analysis was used to solve a given task. Two types of the implants with different diameters and bone model with a beam structure and different layer thickness around the implant were modeled. Used material was homogeneous, isotropic and linearly flexible. The overall analysis was carried out at the 2D level. The results show different values for different diameters and thickness of the layers.
