Analysis of the reliability of quantitative parameters of diffusion measured by magnetic resonance methods of diffusion tensor and diffusion kurtosis imaging
Motyka, Stanislav ; Mikl,, Michal (referee) ; Starčuk, Zenon (advisor)
This thesis deals with the understanding of the diffusion tensor imaging and the diffusion kurtosis imaging. In the first part, thesis describes principles of diffusion, estimation of diffusion coefficient with the usage of the MRI and methods DTI and DKI. In practical part, thesis describes simulation model of free and restricted diffusion, the influence of diffusion time and the strength of gradients on diffusion weighted signal. Thesis also describes estimations of confidence intervals of diffusion parameters and graphical representation of them.
Quasinorms of Discrete Probability Distributions and their Applications
Šácha, Jakub ; Michálek, Jaroslav (referee) ; Dohnal, Gejza (referee) ; Karpíšek, Zdeněk (advisor)
Dissertation thesis is focused on solution of the statistical problem to find a probability distribution of a discrete random variable on the basis of the observed data. These estimates are obtained by minimizing quasi-norms with given constraints. The thesis further focuses on deriving confidence intervals for estimated probabilities. It also contains practical application of these methods.
Fitting of Probability Distributions for Applications
Pavlíčková, Lenka ; Bednář, Josef (referee) ; Karpíšek, Zdeněk (advisor)
The diploma thesis describes the bootstrap method and its applications in the confidence intervals generation, in the testing of statistical hypotheses and in the regression analysis. We present the confidence interval for individual value. Further the method of discrete probability estimation of the categorical quantity is presented, making use the gradient and the line estimate.
Bootstrap Method and its Application
Pavlíčková, Lucie ; Lacinová, Veronika (referee) ; Karpíšek, Zdeněk (advisor)
The diploma thesis describes the bootstrap method and its applications in the estimate accuracy statement, in the confidence intervals generation and in the testing of statistical hypotheses. Further the method of the discrete probability estimation of the categorical quantity is presented, making use the gradient of the quasi-norm hereof distribution. On concrete examples the bootstrap method is applied in the confidence intervals forming of the categorical quantity probability function. The diploma thesis was supported by the project of MŠMT of the Czech Republic no. 1M06047 "Centre for Quality and Reliability of Production", by the grant of Grant Agency of the Czech Republic (Czech Science Foundation) reg. no. 103/08/1658 "Advanced optimum design of composed concrete structures" and by the research plan of MŠMT of the Czech Republic no. MSM0021630519 "Progressive reliable and durable structures".
Subjective quality evaluation of video sequences
Krmela, Tomáš ; Fliegel, Karel (referee) ; Polák, Ladislav (advisor)
This master´s work is focused on the comparison of subjective assessment of the quality of video sequences. In this study, data are obtained by hardware and sofware techniques and they are compared. In the introduction, methods of video compressions are described. The main part of this work deals wtih the exploring of different methods of subjective assessment of the quality of video sequences. Finally, obtained results from different methods, are evaluated and discussed.
Analysis of household consumption in the EU
Kolman, Martin ; Bílková, Diana (advisor) ; Malá, Ivana (referee)
The goal of this work is to analyze the evolution of household consumption of the states in the EU. The consumption will be researched in the view of classification COICOP, which is the classification of individual consumption by purpose. After mapping of this evolution the estimation of future values will be done from known time series. This estimation will be performed by two different ways. First one will respect the composition of household consumption in sections of classification COICOP. The second one will only work with time series of average consumption for all sections together. To compare the states cluster analysis will be done. This analysis will be done by two ways again. First one will be aimed to analyze the current situation and the second one will be aimed to analyze the evolution of household consumption. Instead of Microsoft Excel STATGRAPHICS X64 CENTURION and SPSS will be used in this thesis. Household consumption prognosis is the main benefit of this thesis. This prognosis is made for all sections of COICOP. Analysis has shown, that the consumption should rise in future. There are few exceptions, mainly countries with not good economic situation as Greece.
