Review Czech Thalia

This bachelor thesis is dealing with periodical Czech Thalia. We are introduced into the importance of Czech Thalia from years 1867 - 1871 for contemporary theatre and culture through the presentation and describing the content of the periodical. This periodical is the background for analysis of Czech Thalia, which was published in 1887 - 1892. The content of this periodical is decribed as well, focusing on the analysis of theoretical and historical articles. There is realized the comparision between both of Czech Thalia by reason of uniqueness of each periodical individually in contemporary society, and the aiming of periodicals is also formulated. In the part about the second Czech Thalia, the relationship with the realism and the amount of participating on the realistic programme is accentuated. The conclusion is finding the main importance of Czech Thalia in her reflection of modern influences on the theatre, nevertheless not as a tool of the realism. The thesis is extended of a supplement which consists of the bibliography of all theoretical, critical and historical articles from the second Czech Thalia.
Ferdinand Kafka (1841-1926) . Period Cultural Educational Activity in the Region

The bachelor thesis is focused on the personage of Ferdinand Kafka (1841-1925), a representative of period cultural and educational activities in the context of the Malé Svatoňovice area, at the utter end of Czech lands, lying at the sharp Czech-German linguistic line. Public activities of Ferdinand Kafka occur in the second half of the 19th century and the first two decades of the following one. The case study is on a topic which has never been researched, and works with a historical-comparative method that draw from a large amount of primary sources, such as from personal archives of Kafka's family or the document collection of the amateur theatre. This profile takes notice of Kafka's life events, family and social background, and, above all, of his work for the region. We can find Ferdinand Kafka as a council man, responsible for decision making in his home town, and as a speaker of the people, ensuring communication between inhabitants and their aristocrats. He is described as a folk writer and a gifted public narrator. This follower of revivalist traditions contributed to national culture also by the foundation of a large number of local Czech educational guilds, such as the readers'company. Amateur theater at Vlašim region

The Bachelor thesis deals with the club activities with the focus on an amateur theater in Vlašim town and partly its surrounding areas. This thesis aim is to create a picture of the phenomenon based on the archival (chronicles, memorial books, magazines), evidence and available secondary literature. These findings are confronted with the view of Teatrology (especially contained in the Dějiny českého divadla III and IV). The thesis includes table annexes.

In the first part it describe history of Czechoslovakia Church. The second part of work is based on terminology of free-time. Third chapter is focused to Vodňany town - to its history, culture and religion issues. In fourth chapter are describe free-time activities from their beginnings in 1920. Last chapter is focused to Czechoslovakia Church in Vodňany and its share on free-time activities in the town.
Possibilities of theatre financing: Non-professional scene in Prague

This bachelor's thesis deals firstly with the definition of amateur and professional theatre, provides a typology of theatres and is also engaged in various legal forms, which theatres could be. It also touches on the transformation process, focusing on theatres in the City of Prague. The second chapter is devoted to the possibilities of theatre financing from public, private and their own resources. The emphasis is placed on the role of the state and its cultural policy. There are also provided statistics on the number of theatres, their legal forms and methods of financing over the last few years. The third chapter discusses the specifics of the financing of theatres in Prague. Finally, there is an example of amateur ensembles in one part of the City of Prague, in the Horní Počernice.
