The issue of truancy in secondary schools in the context of risky behavior.

The thesis deals with the issue of truancy in relation to other manifestations of risky behaviour among pupils of selected secondary vocational schools in Mladá Boleslav. The main aim of the thesis is to map and identify the most frequent causes of truancy among pupils of selected secondary schools in Mladá Boleslav. Furthermore, the thesis investgates correlation between truancy and its tolerance and prevention from the perspective of teachers, school and parents. The theoretical part at first introduces and defines the concept of risk behaviour, risk factors and selected manifestations of risk behaviour. This is followed by a chapter focused on truancy itself, defining, categorizing and delineating its causes and consequences, not forgetting the legislative framework of truancy. It also discusses the period of adolescence that secondary school students go through and also looks at the prevention of risky behaviour of individuals and the intervention of truancy from the perspective of the school during this period. The last part of the theoretical section provides a list of institutions that help address school problems, school-based prevention programs, and recommended practices for problem solving and truancy prevention. Predisposition to language learning in adolescents from multilingual families

Language learning predisposition in adolescents from multilingual families' is a paper investigating bilingualism and multilingualism in adolescents who come from multilingual families. The aim of the paper was to comment on the effects on specific aspects of teaching based on the researched approach to language proficiency of bilingual learners. The main research focuses on the question of whether or not it is always true that these adolescents automatically have a talent for foreign languages. There are many stereotypes about bilingualism and bilingual or multilingual education in Czech society and in this paper the author confirms some of them and refutes some of them. The first part of this thesis is more theoretically oriented and explains various concepts related to bilingualism (such as code-switching, bilingual family, types of bilingualism, plurilingualism, second language acquisition, interference, positive transfer, sociolinguistics, etc.). In the second part of this thesis, the author will show in a differentiated perspective the variety of impacts of bilingual learners' backgrounds on language learning. Risk Behaviour of Students of 2nd Grade of Primary School Křemže

The aim of this study is to analyze the risky behavior of students at the Křemže Elementary School. The main objective of the study is to identify the most common forms of risky behavior among the students of this school. Based on the established objectives, hypotheses are developed in the study that deal with the issue of risky behavior. The study also takes into account gender and factors that may lead to risky behavior, such as social networks and early sexual life. To achieve these objectives, a quantitative research strategy is used in the study, utilizing the survey method and the technique of anonymous questionnaires. The questionnaire results are processed and evaluated using statistical graphs and tables. The chi-square test of independence is used to test hypotheses, and the Microsoft Excel program is used to analyze the results. The research revealed that risky behavior occurs to some extent at the Křemže Elementary School. The study identifies the most common form of this behavior, which is the issue of internet addiction and dependence. Another potential threat at this school is alcohol consumption at a young age. Adolescents often underestimate the risks associated with alcohol and should be educated about the dangers. It was also found that gender does not affect the types of risky behavior studied. The study provides results that the school can use to create preventive programs against this type of behavior. At the same time, the study can serve as an information channel for teachers, legal representatives, and the students themselves.
The influence of alimentation and dental hygiene on caries development

The cause of tooth decay is bacteria commonly present in the oral cavity, sugars, dental plaque and poor dental hygiene. It is a pathological process of microbial origin that affects and destroys hard dental tissues. A healthy and balanced diet, including fluids, plays an important role in maintaining oral health. At the same time, it is important to limit the excessive intake of sugar in drinks and sweets, which has a significant role in the development of tooth decay. Nowadays, the most emphasis is placed on primary prevention, which consists of preventive dental examinations, motivation and advice in the field of proper oral hygiene. The first objective was to determine the relationship between eating habits and tooth decay in adolescents. The second objective is closely related to the first point, where the object was to find out the connection between the consumption of various drinks and tooth decay in adolescents. The last objective was to reveal the most important areas of oral hygiene and nutrition in which it is necessary to educate the adolescents. The practical part of this bachelor thesis was processed using the method of qualitative research with the help of an in-depth and semi-structured interview. The research group consisted of four nurses from the dentist's office, one dental hygienist and five adolescents. All interviews took place in February and March 2023. Individual interviews were recorded on a recording device and subsequently transcribed verbatim into Microsoft Word. Then the data was analyzed and categorized in the analytical program ATLAS.ti. The results were categorized into five categories. Categorization: Education from the nurse's perspective, Adolescent education, Adolescent awareness, Prevention, Adolescent nutrition. The categories are further divided based on the resulting answers of the female respondents into further subcategories.The results are divided into diagrams and described in detail. The research showed that the most important tool for removing dental plaque is a toothbrush and interdental products, together with an appropriately chosen brushing technique. It is also very important to educate the adolescent in the area of eating and drinking, especially with regard to sugary drinks. Furthermore, the research showed that adolescents comply with regular dental hygiene and undergo preventive dental examinations once every six months. At the same time, they are aware which foods are unfavorable for tooth decay.
Apophyseal injuries in sporting children and adolescents

This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of apophyseal injuries in the population of sporting older children and juniors. The bachelor thesis is divided into several parts. The introductory part of the work focuses on various types of acute and chronic injuries and their description, treatment options and their prevention. The thesis also concentrates on prevention of these injuries with regard to the quality, frequency and complexity of training, taking into consideration the anatomical, physiological and, last but not least, psychomotor development of the child. The thesis also describes coaches' approach towards training of children and juniors to and its affecting factors that may increase or decrease the frequency of injuries. Part of the work is also a practical part, where the case studies of a patient with a diagnosis of M. Osgood-Schlater are compiled. The patient respectively his legal representative agreed to the processing of information about his treatment for the purposes of this bachelor's thesis.
Specifics of social work for adolescents with drug addiction

This bachelor thesis focuses on the specifics of social work with adolescents with drug addiction. The theoretical part describes the target group, the consequences of drug use, the specifics of drug addiction in adolescents, and the specifics of social work with adolescents with drug addiction, specifically short intervention and motivational training, social counseling, contact work, and prevention. In the empirical part, I try to find out the specifics of social work with adolescents who are threatened by undesirable social phenomena, addictive substances. The research is conducted through semi-structured interviews with staff in low-threshold centers for children and young people who have experience working with adolescents. The result of the work is to identify examples of good practice with the target group from the perspective of social workers in low- threshold centers for children and youth.
Youth orientation visiting low-threshold facilities for children and young people in relation to values

The thesis deals with the value orientation of adolescents attending low-threshold facilities for children and youth. The theoretical part characterizes the period of adolescence, defines the concept of value and describes the phenomena that influence the formation of values. Furthermore, the theoretical part presents the value orientation of youth in other research and describes low-threshold facilities for children and youth. The practical part contains quantitative research, the main aim of which was to determine the value orientation of adolescents attending low-threshold facilities for children and youth. Other objectives were to find out how young people understand the concepts of religion, faith, God and how they approach the issue of helping others.

This Bachelor Thesis deals with an influence and meaning so-called youtubers and their place in the lives of children and adolescent. The Theoretical part of this Thesis describes the period of the adolescent, mental development and identity development in this period. The Thesis also focuses on the description of the socialisation of adolescent and the creation of their values. It also contains description of the adolescent's relation to media and social networks, in which adolescents currently spend the most time; The Thesis focuses on YouTube as a platform and on phenomenon so-called vloggers (youtubers) in detail, which is associated with it. The practical part of the Thesis is based on the outcome of fine research, which is based on diaries filled in by respondents (so-called diary research). The research focuses on, how much time the responders spend on YouTube videos, what content they watch and for what reason, whether They are thinking over the content they watch and whether the youtubers motivate them to do something.
The influence of divorce on adolescent psychosomatics from a perspective of social workers.

The bachelor's thesis deals with the influence of divorces on adolescent psychosomatics from the perspective of a social worker. Its main goal is to investigate the impact of divorce on adolescent psychosomatics from the perspective of a social worker. In accordance with the goal, two main research questions were stated as following: What is the influence of a divorce on adolescent psychosomatics? What techniques and methodologies are applied by child protection service workers while discovering the psychosomatic symptomps on adolescents? The theoretical part is aimed at family, divorce, adolescent psychosomatics and its prevention. This part also includes social work with a divorcing family, methods and techniques applied by social workers and the general information on child protection services and the Authority of Social and Legal Protection of Children. The empirical part describes the methodology, provides the answers of interviewees and summarizes the outputs of the analyzed data. The quantitative research method called snow ball was chosen to guarantee the appropriate selection of interviewees. The interviewed group consists of nine subjects employed at the child protection services. As gathering research methods, a semi-structured interview and a survey were implemented. An open coding method was used to conclude the results of the research. This research shows that divorce has an impact on adolescent psychosomatics from the perspective of social workers. The social workers are familiar with these problematics and apply the methods of social working with individuals and families. The most commonly applied methods are guided or semi-structural interviews during which the clients are provided with supervision or addressed to contact professional help.
