This thesis is about the preparation of a performance, the relationship between interpretation and technugue and other elements which constitute a good performance. The key idea is an-round development of a performer´s abilities and skills- Having an idea of both harmonic and formal structure of a composition makes us more able to interpret it. Developed mental abilities of memory and imagination are needed for this as much as a reliable technigue. The quality of a performance is influenced by the preparation process to a considerable extent.Besides, the ability to adapt to the acoustic of the hall and coping with stagefright do not lack importance either. Every public performance brings new sensation and inspiration. The performer should eventually review his performance, thus giving himself a hint of what he should work on further.
