Study of the properties of thaumasite which was produced synthetically
Kábrtová, Denisa ; Jiroušková, Kateřina (referee) ; Fridrichová, Marcela (advisor)
The thesis is focused on the optimization of the thaumasite preparation in the way of ternesite hydration and further comparison of this approach to the other methods. The thaumasite was prepared by three different methods for this purpose - according to Aguilera et al., Purnell and the hydration method of ternesite clinkers. Finally, the X-ray diffraction analysis was particularly used to evaluate the obtained properties and results.
Synthetic Preparation and Properties of Ettringite
Vlachovský, David ; Kulísek, Karel (referee) ; Fridrichová, Marcela (advisor)
The work is focused on properties and behavior of ettringite in relation to external environment conditions. It concentrates on the mineralogical composition of ettringite prepared by the method of direct synthesis of aluminium sulphate octadecahydrate and calcium hydroxide at various humidities. Depending on these factors, the formation of ettringite and its possible conversion to other minerals was observed.
The Effect of Humidity and Temperature on Stability of AFt phases
Janíčková, Zdeňka ; Dvořák, Karel (referee) ; Fridrichová, Marcela (advisor)
This thesis focused on the development of AFt phases such as ettringite and thaumasite, which is monitored in temperature and humidity environments. Depending on these factors is stability od the AFt phase and subsequent evaluation by X-ray diffraction analysis, DTA and REM monitored.
The thermodynamic stability of etringite
Magrla, Radek ; Durica,, Tibor (referee) ; Bílek,, Vlastimil (referee) ; Brauner,, Josef (referee) ; Fridrichová, Marcela (advisor)
The theoretical part of this doctoral thesis summarizes the current knowledge of portland cement and its manufacturing technology, information of FBC ash, Aft phases, AFm phases and the current knowledge of thermodynamic stability of ettringite. The practical part of the doctoral thesis focuses on manufacturing of ettringite based on yeelimite clinker, studying the influence of environment on thermodynamic stability of ettringite and manufacturing of ettringite by direct addition of calcium hydroxide and aluminum sulfate.
Verification of the Thermodynamic Stability of Ettringite
Pekárková, Jana ; Jiroušková, Kateřina (referee) ; Fridrichová, Marcela (advisor)
The thesis deals with possibilities of FBC fly ash utilization for composite cements. It focuses on thermodynamic stability of ettringite, which is produced during composite cements hydration. Specific tasks are dedicated to observation of influence of outdoor environment and influence of calciumhydrosilicate environment to stability of ettringite.
Monitoring the thermodynamic stability of thaumasite depending on selected internal and external parameters
Ďurtová, Aneta ; Jiroušková, Kateřina (referee) ; Fridrichová, Marcela (advisor)
This thesis deals with thermodynamic stability of thaumasite in dependence on selected external parameters. It focuses on optimizing preparation by ternesite hydration and comparing it with other methods in a suitable environment. Specifically, using the saccharate method, followed by the hydration of ternesite clinkers and the influence of calcium aluminate phases on the stability of thaumasite produced by the hydration of ternesite clinker. Subsequently, the phase composition was evaluated by X-ray diffraction analysis, in some cases by electron microscopy.
Properties Modification of Portland Cements Oriented to Reduce CO2 Emissions
Rybová, Alexandra ; Jiroušková, Kateřina (referee) ; Fridrichová, Marcela (advisor)
The thesis is oriented on monitoring of hydration process of portland cement based on fluidized bed ash, firstly on investigation of AFt phases, mainly ettringite and thaumasite. Specific aim of the task is to prepare the scheme of these minerals synthetic preparation and to verify their laboratory preparation by different ways, using methods of RTG-diffraction analysis and scanning electron microscopy.

Effect of Selected Variables on the Properties and Stability of Ettringite
Kramoliš, Lukáš ; Kulísek, Karel (referee) ; Fridrichová, Marcela (advisor)
The thesis deals with the termodynamic stability of synthetically formed ettringite. It focuses on ettringite prepared by the direct synthesis of aluminum sulphate and calcium hydroxide. Stamples were stored in a laboratory environment and in a saturated water vapor. Monitoring of mineralogical composition was performed using XRD analysis, differential thermal analysis (DTA) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM).
