Anaglyphs and their application in teaching stereometry

My bachelor thesis Anaglyphs and their application in teaching stereometry deals with anaglyphs and their creation. It gives information about linear perspective, which is necessary for the creation of anaglyphs. The terms of linear perspective are explained as well as the methods we can use in constructions of this projection. The thesis is mainly devoted to anaglyphs and their creation by the tools of descriptive geometry - central projection and especially linear perspective. Types of anaglyphs, drawing of anaglyphs and the possibility of constructing anaglyphs by software are mentioned. The third chapter deals with stereometry and it uses anaglyphs to support the spatial imagination. There are two versions of the third chapter - each one uses different types of anaglyphs to show the same problems of stereometry. 3D red cyan glasses are enclosed to the thesis as well as a CD containing both versions of the thesis and two files showing the creation of anaglyphs. The thesis is meant to be used by teachers and students in teaching and studying stereometry.
Construction tasks in space

My bachelor thesis focuses on Construction tasks in space. Its aim is a full explanation and a summary of knowledge of stereometry. This knowledge could be used by pupils at primary schools and students at secondary schools in the topic construction tasks. The theme is very neglected in general which leads to very low level of spatial imagination. I have created construction tasks in space in a free parallel projection with using interactive geometric software GeoGebra. The bachelor thesis contains solved examples with a detailed commentary of solution but it also includes unsolved examples for practising.
Presentation Software - Solid Geometry, Stereometry

The main theme of this document is to describe the way of creating presentation software of solid geometry and stereometry. This application tool should help teachers more to explain the subject. Student has opportunity with this application to better understand explained subject. After a long  deliberation and cooperation with teachers from primary school we decided to choose a solid geometry and  stereometry like the aim of this application. Later we added part where I solve the right method used in geometry constructions. In this document is described the process of work proceeding beginning with analysis, over implementation to testing. Important parts of this application are graphic interface, application control tools and the form of object graphical representation.

Designing worksheets for teaching geometry to elementary school with support from the program Elica-Dalest

This diploma thesis is aimed at teaching geometry at basic schools with the computer support in Elica Dalest programme. The main target is to create worksheets with the support Elica Dalest programme. These worksheets are put not only in printed form and on CD but they can be found on the Internet. The content of the diploma thesis is the introduction with the teaching of geometry at basic schools, showing particular applications of Elica Dalest, description and evaluation of created worksheets. Worksheets should approach given software to the teachers and make the teaching of geometry special.
Teaching of solid geometry with the use of Elica - DALEST software

This thesis is focused on Dalest Elica software and its use in the stereometry education at primary school. It contains some exercises that are solved with the help of this dynamic 3D software for stereometry education at the primary school. The thesis should offer an effective look at this software issue to the educators and it should also explain why to use the Dalest Elica software in the lessons. It also contains a CD with the video manuals that describe how to use the software.
Teaching Geometry with support from the Elica Dalest with respect to non-verbal components

This diploma thesis deals with Elica DALEST applications, which are a part of the DALEST project (Developing Active Learning Environment for Stereometry). The goal of the project is to create a suitable tool for teaching stereometry. This thesis deals with 7 out of 13 applications which are part of the DALEST project. The goal of my thesis is to create materials which can be used for presentation of features of Dalest applications to mathematics teachers. Instructional videos are part of the thesis and can be found on the enclosed CD. One of the goals of my thesis is to present created materials to elementary schools teachers in practice.
Interactive stereometry education at a secondary technical school

This paper deals with interactive teaching of stereometry at a secondary vocational school. All the created educational materials are mainly focused on the teaching of stereometry at a Secondary Vocational School of Engineering and are based on the Framework Educational Programme valid for this type of study. However the application of these interactive materials in teaching of stereometry at other schools is also possible. The aim of this thesis is to present stereometry, which is a relatively difficult chapter of study, in an easy way, using modern means provided by the present time. To make the teaching of stereometry more effective, in my thesis I use an optimal number of programs as well as a lot of dynamic applications that facilitate the teachers´ and students´ work.
Use computers by teaching at the middle school

This work was made like a complex of solved examples from the textbook RNDr. Pomykalová Eva: Matematika pro gymnázia {--} Stereometrie. This complex will serve students and teachers of mathematics at the middle school as an aid by teaching stereometry {--} cut the solid with a plane. Examples are solved with the software of dynamic geometry Cabri II Plus. The solids in the elemental form were created in the same software like a macro construction. I obtained these solids from my teacher on the practise. These macro constructions were created by students of mathematics in their diploma theses at the Department of Mathematic of the Pedagogical faculty in České Budějovice. All figures in the work are also enclosed on the CD ROM. In the program Cabri we can study mutual situations of figures in a space and work with them. All cuts are available too. After their opening in Cabri the teacher can view all the construction of a cut step by step with help of the respective button in menu of the program.
