Šmerdová, Marie
This thesis deals with the development of the South Moravian Region between 2016 and 2021. It assesses the region based on selected indicators, identifies the primary areas for future direction, and outlines measures to support further development. The method of constructing composite indicators is used in this research. The research shows that the South Moravian Region ranked 5th in the resulting composite indicator in 2016 but improved its position by two places in 2021, ranking 3rd. The key areas for further development of the region are mainly economic (unemployment rate, GVA in agriculture, forestry, and fishing) and environmental (emissions of basic pollutants, municipal waste production in kg per capita). The thesis also presents various measures to support further development from the South Moravian Region Development Programme 2018-2021 and the South Moravian Region Development Strategy 2021+. These are complemented by the Air Quality Improvement Programme South East Zone – CZ06Z and the South Moravian Region Waste Management Plan 2016-2025, which are linked to the already defined key areas.

Gellnerová, Martina ; Erben, Adam (referee) ; Pavlovský, Tomáš (advisor)
The aim of the thesis is to design a new urban structure with a connection to the historical center and complement the existing historical buildings. The addressed area is located in the historic center, which is also a city monument zone. There is a large number of heritage-protected buildings, which are also dominant. A large part of the buildings was bombed at the end of World War II. The proposal tries to respect the existing development and at the same time complement it so that it is similar to the structure of the city before the bombing. Furthermore, the creation of boundaries for the division of public and private space, the creation of public space for people, not cars, to make the Rokytná River embankment more accessible and attractive together with the reconstruction of an almost unused industrial area. The proposal also includes the return of the city hall to the main square. The newly proposed buildings are mainly residential in nature.

This bachelor's thesis deals with the issue of pesticides in soil. It evaluates the concentration levels of pesticide residues in agricultural soils in the South Moravian Region in 2015-2021. Pesticide residues were monitored as a part of the Basal Soil Monitoring System, the concentrations were determined by liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry. The monitoring is performed by the Central Institute for Supervising and Testing in Agriculture (ÚKZÚZ), which also provided all the data for this work. The most frequently detected substances were selected for evaluation – 2-hydroxyatrazine, boscalid, diflufenican, dimoxystrobin, epoxiconazole, prochloraz, tebuconazole and terbutylazine-2-hydroxy. The highest concentration was measured for boscalid. Epoxyconazole was the most frequently detected substance. The concentrations of pesticide residues found in soils of the South Moravian Region are several times lower compared to the Zlín Region and the Vysočina Region.
