Humour during the French classes

Abstract : The thesis aims to provide a comprehensive description of possible use of humour in teaching the French language. In the theoretical section, it defines humour as a form of comic, deals with the influence of humour and laughter on health and describes the advantages and difficulties of integrating humour into school teaching. In the practical part, it analyses the humour in French textbooks, proposes a typology of humour in teaching materials and presents finally didactical sheets to teach French at all language levels. These exercises and activities are dedicated to all speech and language skills. They are focused on different themes to captivate the target age category and meet the requirements to be fun for students. The thesis should become aid and inspiration for those teachers, who decide to incorporate humour and laughter in the teaching of French.
Psychical Distance and Laughter at the Theatre

The present BA thesis is focused on the exploration of the role of laughter and comicality within Dramatic Arts. The starting point is explanation of the concept of Edward Bullough's "psychical distance" as a factor, which defines aesthetic attitude. The laughter is described there as the type of reaction, that tend to under-distancing or to over-distancing and so to a disruption of aesthetic attitude. At the same time, however, whole significant section of Dramatic Art comedy works intensively with the role of laughter . BA thesis attempts to indicate main features of laughter and its transformation within the aesthetic attitude.
Humour in a selected of Czech prose literature of 1960s

The thesis deals with the era of the Czech literature in the second half of the 20th century. It focuses on the description of the humorous elements in selected literary works. The works are different in topics and genres too and in the end the works are reflected all together. The main literature sources are the analyzed titles and the book f essays called Silence and laughter by Sylvia Richterová. The first chapter presents an outline of the atmosphere of the 60s, the second chapter defines the topic and genre specifications of the works published in this decade. The third chapter is a methodological guide to comicality. Chapters four to seven analyze individual literary works in several basic points ? composition, language, characters and a description of the nature of the characters as well as the description of the theme.
