Management chovu ovcí plemene suffolk v malochovu
Buchtová, Nikola
The aim of the bachelor thesis is to describe the management of Suffolk sheep breeding in small-scale farming. The thesis describes all the essentials that are associated with sheep breeding on your own farm. It includes, first of all, the issue of reproduction, but also nutrition. The thesis includes practical results of reproductive indicators that were collected on a selected farm in the town of Šumperk from 2016 to 2022. The results concern the evaluation of reproductive indicators of the monitored breeding in ewes, where different success rates in pregnant stallions were recorded in individual years. Attention is also paid to the evaluation of reproductive indicators of the monitored breeding in rams, where a stagnant situation in the success rate of pregnancy from 2016 to 2020 was found. A slight downward trend was then observed. Subsequently, the reproductive indicators of the breed were evaluated, where the numbers of births, lambs reared and the number of losses were compared. Results vary from year to year.
Reprodukční a užitkové vlastnosti dojnic
Leznová, Sára
The aim of the bachelor thesis was to evaluate the reproductive and useful properties of dairy cows. The work deals with the comparison of performance parameters and reprodu-ctive properties of milked cattle. The first part summarizes the basic reproductive indica-tors. The next part of the thesis discusses milk and its content of components and its qua-lity, which is followed by the chapter on milk productivity. The production and consump-tion of milk is evaluated in the work both within the Czech Republic and worldwide. In the practical part, the following reproductive indicators were evaluated: Insemination in-terval, service period, insemination index and intermediate period. The level of selected reproductive and utility indicators was analyzed for individual groups of dairy cows ac-cording to the season in one year.
Analýza užitkových parametrů prasat ve vybraném chovu
Klváček, Pavel
The thesis focuses on analyzing the production and reproduction parameters in pig breeding in Ochoz u Konice. The theoretical part of the thesis includes research on pig reproductive indicators such as fertility and lactation, followed by production indicators, which include growth, feed efficiency, and slaughter value. Furthermore, the issues related to rearing of gilts and their inclusion in breeding are described. The thesis also briefly describes the reproductive cycle of sows, from insemination to piglet rearing. Subsequently, the methodology for monitoring pig performance in the Czech Republic is described. The last part of the literary review characterizes the individual genotypes of Topigs Norsvin pigs. The practical part of the thesis presents the material and methodology of testing. Reproductive and production utility were tested among Topigs Norsvin pig genotypes. The A-line, AxZ, and TN60 genotypes were studied. The influence of parity on reproductive utility and the influence of sex on production utility were also observed. The monitored reproductive parameters included the number of all piglets, live and kept piglets in the litter, as well as the number of stillborn and dead piglets and the percentage of stillborn and dead piglets in the litter. The average daily gain during weaning, pre-fattening, and fattening of pigs was also determined. The results of reproduction indicated that the highest number of all, live, and kept piglets was achieved by the TN60 sow, while the A-line sow had the lowest number. Regarding parity, it was found that the number of all, live, and kept piglets increased with increasing parity of sows, with the lowest number at the first parity and the highest at the fifth parity. The results of production showed that the highest average daily gain was in TN60 pigs, and the lowest was in A-line pigs. In terms of sex, boars achieved higher average daily gain than gilts in all tested genotypes. The TN60 pigs achieved better results in both reproductive and production utility than A-line pigs, confirming the positive operation of hybridization.
Vliv stupně příbuzenské plemenitby na reprodukční výkonnost ovcí plemene Zwartbles
Pospíšil, Jakub
The bachelor thesis is focused on the influence of inbreeding degree on reproductive performance in Zwartbles sheep. A brief description of the Zwartbles breed, its history and performance is given in the literature search. Furthermore, a general description of reproduction and the evaluation of reproductive performance. Finally, the thesis discusses breeding and the determination of the degree of inbreeding. The practical part of the bachelor thesis is focused on the analysis of the influence of inbreeding on the reproductive performance of the Zwartbles herd bred on the Mohelno sheep farm in 2006 - 2021. The herd was divided according to the degree of inbreeding into four groups. For ewes, the percentage of born and weaned pups was evaluated. For lambs, gain, height of the longest lumbar muscle and chest (MLLT), loin fat height, conformation, and weight of lambs at 100 days of age were evaluated.
Zhodnocení efektivity vyhledávání říjí skotu pomocí systému Ovalert
Janečková, Kateřina
This bachelor thesis is focused on reproduction in cattle, specifically detection of estrus using various methods which aim is to detect estrus in time. In the introduction of a literary section, there are information about fertility, influences that affect fertility and sexual maturity. The summary chapter about physiology of reproduction includes a set of information about genitals, corpus luteum and reproduction cycle, including its hormonal control. Subsequently, attention is focussed on estrus, detection of estrus and methods of detection. Synchronization of estrus, insemination, reinsemination and reproductive indicators are mentioned at the end of the literature review. Practical part is devoted to evaluation of results of the reproduction of a specific company. Two periods are monitored, namely before and after introduction of system Ovalert. Finally, costs of the reproduction are evaluated. The conclusion of the thesis summarizes the methods of estrus detection and evaluates the system Ovalert.
Vliv stájového mikroklimatu a intenzity osvětlení na mléčnou užitkovost a reprodukci holštýnských dojnic ve vybraném chovu
Fábry, Ivan
This bachelor thesis focuses on stable microclimate and lighting intensity and their effect on milk yield and reproduction parameters of cattle. The literature review was focused on the parameters of the stable microclimate, milk yield and reproduction of cattle and the factors that influence them. In the practical part was evaluated the correlation between temperature, lighting intensity and parameters of milk yield (milk quantity and composition) and reproduction (length of service period, percentage of pregnancy). The data presented in the practical part of the bachelor thesis come from a specific farm in the Zlín region. Temperature and light intensity were measured by Minikin RTi/QTi sensor, which was placed in the selected stable. The data were continuously downloaded and analysed by mathematical and statistical methods to evaluate the correlation between the measured data and the parameters of milk yield and reproduction.
Význam vitaminu D a jeho metabolitů v reprodukci živočišných organismů
Červenka, Jiří
Vitamin D is considered to be a group of molecules that have many functions in animal organisms. The best known of these is the key role in calcium and phosphorus homeostasis and regulation of bone mineralization. In recent years, however, many new functions of this vitamin have been discovered, such as the regulation of cell proliferation and differentiation, its influence on the immune system or its function in animal reproduction. This thesis deals with the importance of vitamin D in animal reproduction with an emphasis on livestock. In the literature review, the occurrence of receptors for vitamin D in cells of various types of different tissues of reproductive system, particularly in mammals and birds, and the function of various metabolites mediated by these receptors are discussed in the individual chapters. The thesis includes the design of methodology, which would test the effect of vitamin D on reproduction of the male and female domestic chickens. The hypothesis could verify, whether or not, Rhode Island Red cockerels, that would be fed a diet with a higher vitamin D content would demonstrate better ejaculate parameters and higher fertilization of eggs laid by Rhoade Island White hens inseminated with this semen. Furthemore, a solution is proposed to verify the hypothesis, assuming higher hatchability and lower embryonic mortality in hens fed higher vitamin D feed mixture. The result would be compared with hens and roosters of the same breeds, reared in an environment with the same conditions, fed a vitamin D deficient feed mixture.

Analýza hospodaření vybraných ekologických farem
Peichlová, Zuzana
The diploma thesis analyzed selected production and reproduction factors in Czech Fleckvieh cattle. The data was obtained from three organic farms and one conventional farm for comparison. The owners wished to remain anonymous. The data was collected from the utility inspection records and zootechnical evidence from the years 2020, 2021, and 2022. From the production indicators, the following factors were monitored: daily yield, number of lactations, fat content (%), protein content (%), somatic cell count (thous./ml), number of born and raised calves, and culling rate (%). From the reproductive indicators, the following factors were monitored: insemination index, insemination interval, service period, intercalving period, and pregnancy after first insemination (%). The findings indicate that the production indicators on organic farms are not the worst, and the conventional farm only has problematic somatic cell counts and numbers of born and raised calves. Reproductive indicators show better values on organic farms, while the conventional farm reports worse indicators.
