Determination of impact effect between railway wheel and top of rail having a small bump
Valeš, František ; Červ, Jan ; Tikal, B. ; Kaloč, R.
The aim of work is to study the dynamic contact between railway wheel and top of rail when wheel is crossing the small bump.
Měření, analýza a zlepšení hlukových vlastností železničních dvojkolí
Boháč, T. ; Šeděnka, M. ; Smutný, J. ; Pazdera, L. ; Pešek, Luděk
Within the long-term development of railway wheels with vibration and noise absorbers manufactured in the Bonatrans Group a.s., their numerical modelling is in process as well as their dynamic and vibro-acoustic testing in laboratories and in operation. This article provides a brief description of the methodology of operational measurements of the railway wheels noise with and without absorbers including the results obtained on the basis of the analyses of the measurements in the underground in Boston and Prague and on the test ring of the reference track in Cerhenice. The effectiveness of the applied absorbers resulting in reduction of the noise of moving vehicles on various tracks during various travelling modes is evident from the results.
Modeling of the impact of railway wheel on a rail
Valeš, František ; Červ, Jan ; Tikal, B. ; Adámek, V.
This contribution concerns the simulation of wave phenomena originating by impacts of a railway wheel on a rail. With respect to the character of these phenomena running in time of microsecond order, it is not possible to model contacting bodies in true dimensions. Hence the model research has to be used and dimensions of bodies are chosen in such way so that the numerical solution (FEM) is feasible. The influence of material models (elastic and plastic) are studied in this work.Furthermore, the influence of plastic layer generated during wheel service on wave phenomena in the wheel is investigated.
Measurement and analysis of vibration and acoustic emission of railway wheel set with and without optimized dampers
Pešek, Luděk ; Veselý, Jan ; Vaněk, František ; Cibulka, Jan
The aim of this work was to propose a method for experimental verification of vibro-acoustic damping elements of the railway wheel-set. There were dealt with 4 solutions of the wheels. For these solutions, the three kinds of dynamic excitation were proposed. The measurement of acousti prressure and acoustic internsity was carried out in selected points of the wheel surounding.
