Laboratory thermometer based on Pt100 sensor

This text put mind to questions of touch temperature measurement. Describes the various of electrical temperature sensors, which are divided in accordance with physical principles, on which they work. For each sensor are given its characteristics, such as temperature range, tolerance, advantages and disadvantages, or the measuring circuit. The sensors are described mainly by mathematical equations and polynomials. Their knowledge is needed for the construction of additional circuits or devices for processing information from sensors. In this work is also suggested a completely involvement of digital thermometer, which uses a Pt100. According to this proposal is made a prototype piece.
Very low temperature measurement (to -160 of degrees Celsius)

his semestral thesis deals with measurement of low temperatures (down to -160 degrees Celsius). This thesis describes basics of cryotherapy and its practical implementation. It also deals with different types of temperature sensors which means theoretical description of their work, thein advantages and disadvantages. The main goal is to put a recommendation of which of this sensors is the most suitable for practical implementation of the thermometer.
Heat technological process model

This work presents possibilities of X20AT2222 and X20AT2402 measuring cards. It describes design of physical heat tunnel with three sections, where each one has own heating elements. In detail is described technical solution and structure of model. Subsequently is designed controller and process visualization for PLC. Based on identified system and model structure is created system simulation in Matlab Simulink.
Measuring temperatures in the rotor of an electrical machine

Tato práce se zabývá problematikou měření teplot v rotoru elektrického stroje. Těžištěm práce je návrh, výroba a testování čtyřkanálového bezdrátového měřicího systému, který je primárně určen pro měření teplot v rotoru elektrického stroje. První kapitola této práce – Resistance temperature detectors přibližuje problematiku použití odporových senzorů teploty, jejich normy, tolerance a měřicí obvody, které slouží pro měření odporu, respektive teploty. Druhá kapitola – SPI vysvětluje základy symetrické sériové komunikační sběrnice SPI, která je v navrhovaném měřicím systému využita pro komunikaci mikrokontroléru s teplotními čidly. Ve třetí kapitole Bluetooth autor vysvětluje komunikační standard Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), díky kterému navrhované zařízení komunikuje a odesílá naměřená data ostatním zařízením v okolí. V úvodu této kapitoly jsou uvedeny základní parametry BLE a jeho výhody a nevýhody. Závěr této kapitoly pak rozebírá strukturu vrstev BLE. Následuje obsáhlá čtvrtá kapitola Hardware design, kde je detailně popsán hardwarový návrh bezdrátového teploměru. Začátek této kapitoly je věnován napájecímu zdroji, který je v tomto případě složen z 3,6 V baterie velikosti 1/2 AA a lineárního napěťového regulátoru, který se stará o stabilizaci napájecího napětí. Následuje popis měřicího integrovaného obvodu MAX31865, který byl vybrán pro měření teploty díky jeho vysoké přesnosti a velkému měřicímu rozsahu. Aby se ušetřila elektrická energie v době nečinnosti zařízení, každý ze čtyř senzorů je vzdáleně zapínán a vypínán povelem mikrokontroléru. Posledním bodem této kapitoly je návrh desky plošných spojů s ohledem na vyvážení komponent, aby nedocházelo k nežádoucím vibracím vlivem vysokých otáček rotoru. Měřicí systém se bude otáčet společně s rotorem motoru, se kterým je pevně spojen. Pevné spojení dovoluje měřit teploty kontaktní metodou. Pátá – podobně obsáhlá – kapitola Software design je zaměřena na popis firmware měřicího systému. První část kapitoly se zaměřuje na konfiguraci a inicializaci SPI sběrnice, nastavení komunikačních pinů a komunikační frekvence. Dále jsou popsány základní funkce pro čtení a zapisování registrů, které jsou využity pro řízení integrovaného obvodu MAX31865. Následuje popis implementace BLE do měřicího systému a popis hlavní smyčky programu (čtení teplot a vysílání naměřených dat pomocí BLE). Závěr této kapitoly se zabývá klientskou aplikací, která byla nad rámec zadání vytvořena a slouží pro příjem a ukládání dat z měřicího systému. Závěrečná – šestá kapitola –Device commissioning popisuje výrobu, oživení a naprogramování výrobku. Měřicí systém byl otestován při 6500 ot/min a při měření kalibrační křivky byla zjištěna průměrná odchylka +0,8% v rozsahu +20°C až +200°C . Přílohy na konci práce obsahují výrobní podklady. Produktový list výrobku lze nalézt v příloze A.
System of On-/Offline temperature measurement based on Lab View

The objective of this thesis was to create a LabVIEW-based program for temperature measurement using a personal computer. The program allows reading and post processing of digital signal from a measuring device. This device consists of a sensor type PT100, a measuring transducer and an analog-to-digital converter with USB output. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with resistance temperature sensors, signal analysis and methods for signal processing. The practical part is conceived as a guide to the created program. This part introduces vital sub-elements of the program and describes their principle, practical use and also the operating instructions. As required by thesis assignment, practical part includes verification of the measuring device, which was performed in laboratory of Czech Metrology Institute in Brno.
Temperature control in the liquid thermostat using Atmel ATmega328 microcontroller

This bachelor‘s thesis familiarizes reader with the issues of temperature control and measurement in the enviroment of liquid thermostat. Thesis describes some kinds of temperature sensors, their physical principes and choices of using them. There is also described properties of ATmega328 controller and communication resources. This thesis deals with implementation of bath thermostat controller unit and describes his software equipment together with PC controlling application.
Extending the Laboratory Educational Kit PIC Edu Kit with a Set of Wireless Sensors

This thesis describes the design and implementation of extension of laboratory training model PIC Edu Kit. It is about set of wireless sensors. These sonsors have to measure temperature and deformation. Mesure of temperature was realized by temperature resistive sensor Pt100 and deformation by resistive tenzometr. These wireless moduls comunication on protocol Wi-Fi. In this work is introduced propose of measuring dictucts for measure of temperautre and deformation. There is evidenced their realization, showed software for receiving dates on PC and programme for the microcontroler.
Measuring station for the system of the remote energy supply

This thesis is focused on the creation of measuring workplace for remote power supply system. This is the measuring of the workplace, engaged in the processing of measured data, the production of electrical energy made by a photovoltaic panel and wind turbines. In the theoretical part, the reader is familiar with the issue of renewable energy sources. The first chapter is about the energy of the wind. Here is described the emergence of the wind, the basic division of wind power, through the production of electrical energy to the measurement itself. The second chapter deals with the solar energy. This chapter describes the emergence of the solar energy, photoelectric effect, description of characteristic features and related evaluation of the photovoltaic panel. The reader learns the basic distribution photovoltaic panels here and their manufacturing. The third chapter is devoted to measurement methods and specifying the basic conditions for the evaluation of the operation of wind turbines and photovoltaic panel. In the fourth chapter describes the basic data on individual facilities, which have been selected for this thesis and the involvement of the measuring site. There is also included wind power JPT-100 photovoltaic panels A-130 anemometer TX20ETH, pyranometer SG420 and temperature sensor PT100. Measuring software is described in the fifth chapter. In the last chapter, contains the experimental measurements in the selected time interval and the actual evaluation.
Testing of low power microcontroller with integrated analog circuits

This thesis deal with testing of low power microcontroller with integrated analog circuits. It describes the program for measurement with RTD, which is a part of the printed circuit board, thermocouple and external PT100 sensor. The code is writen with an optimization of a measure circuit due to minimisation of the current consumption.
