Modelling of Flow over Spillway of the Letovice Dam
Škrach, Mikuláš ; Holomek, Petr (referee) ; Jandora, Jan (advisor)
The thesis is concerned on numerical modeling of a scheduled spillway on water structure Letovice. The goal of the thesis is to verify hydraulic calculation using numerical modeling and to verify the capacity of the spillway. The spacial model was created in SketchUp program and the numerical modeling was implemented in Flow-3D program. The reason to recalculate the spillway is its reconstruction and extension in order to make high a capacity of it in the final project of Letovice water structure whole reconstruction.
Numerical Modelling of Flow over Spillway of the Letovice Dam
Křivohlávek, Roman ; Holomek, Petr (referee) ; Jandora, Jan (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with numerical modeling of water flow. The numerical model was created to simulate the flow of water through the spillway of the Letovice dam. The spillway is constructed as a side channel and is located on the right bank. Autocad 2015 was used to create a 3D model, and FLOW-3D version 11.0.4 was used to create a numerical model.
The Footbridge for Pedestrians across the Berounka River
Kováčová, Kristýna ; Buchta, Stanislav (referee) ; Šmak, Milan (advisor)
The aim of the Bachelor´s thesis is a static design of the footbridge for pedestrians across the Berounka river. The structure is created as three-dimensional model. The internal forces are calculated by FEM programme Scia Engineer 15.1. The load-bearing elements are designed with these forces. The length of the footbridge is 12,12 m, width 2,9 m and height 1,5 m. The footbridge is mostly made of glued laminated timber. Others materials are steel and timber. The steel is used fort connectors, wind bracing elements and bracing semi-frames. The construction is solved as timber beam with through-spain. The footbridge consists of two timber beams, floor beams, stringers and wind bracing elements.
Czech Allergology and Clinical Immunology: Utilization and Provision in Space
Blechová, Lucie ; Paulus, Michal (advisor) ; Votápková, Jana (referee)
The present thesis focuses on Czech allergology and clinical immunology by studying this branch of health care in a geographic variation framework while using methods of spatial econometrics. This has been the first work with such focus. District-level data on care provision and utilization in 2012 are used. It is found that there exist geographical differences between provision and utilization and that the geographical distribution of allergists and clinical immunologists does not correspond to population's needs. Care utilization is modeled using a spatial autoregressive model specification. Based on this model, it is concluded that a shortage of physicians in the majority of districts actually limits care utilization. Also based on the utilization model, there is a discussion about the potential need for policy coordination. Care provision cannot be modeled using explanatory variables that are available, therefore, future data collection is necessary. However, it was found that variables influencing the need for care by patients do not influence care provision per physician. Static Analysis of certain types of timber structures
Čáslavová, Sandra ; Brdečko, Luděk (referee) ; Zídek, Rostislav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on analyzing a timber roof trusses, identifying and evaluating differences in their behavior. The thesis is aimed to review conventional trusses, create plane models which are then compared with each other. From selected truss was used to create a 3D model, on which are key joints are reviewed. Scia Engineer 15.2.140 program is used to create an expert opinion. This program is based on FEM principle.
Design and Assessment of Timber Structure
Končák, Jiří ; Hradil, Petr (referee) ; Zídek, Rostislav (advisor)
Subject of my masters's thesis is bearing construction from wood of pedestrian bridge via river Bečva in Karolinka. Span of the pedestrian bridge is 37 meters. Three 3D models of global model of whole construction and support models are created. The resulting draft is worked up in details. This work aim on models of joints of wooden parts, boundary conditions and global function of static model.
Ceiling slab over the corner windows
Tuchyňová, Andrea ; Zich, Miloš (referee) ; Strnad, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor thesis concerns design of reinforced concrete ceiling slab with girder above the corner windows. The slab has rectangular floor plan with large opening in the middle. The slab is dimensioned to the ultimate limit state and serviceability limit state. The inner forces on the bar model were assessed by force method and were compared with inner forces on spatial model created in Scia Engineering programme.
Design and assessment of timber load bearing structure
Končák, Jiří ; Brdečko,, Luděk (referee) ; Zídek, Rostislav (advisor)
Subject of my bachelor's thesis is bearing construction from wood of untraditional family house in shape of pyramid. 2D and 3D models of single parts and global model of whole construction are created. This work aim on models of joint of wooden parts, boundary conditions and global function of static model. Models are enhanced by analysis of single parts and some joints and comparasion of planar models with global model.
Cinema services as a market of vertical and horizontal differenciated product
Jakoubek, Jakub ; Koubek, Ivo (advisor) ; Brožová, Dagmar (referee)
This bachelor thesis analyzes cinema market in the Czech Republic. Multiplexes are crushing their competition of regular cinemas in number of spectators and net revenues. The main aim of the thesis is to prove that product differentiation and distance between the competitors are more important than standard relationship: quantity demanded - supplied price. Based on the data from UFD, where can be found information about all cinemas and multiplexes from the years 2006 - 2014, I estimate models using econometric analysis, which examines the effects of the determinants on the cinema demand. The main focus is on distance to the nearest competitor and quality factor. Conclusions of the thesis confirm that vertical differentiation has the biggest effect on the number of spectators and on the other hand, distance to the nearest competitor is not able to explain the damage from a distance. It turns out that the price differential reflects qualitative differences and the distance between the cinemas.
