Research on parking in surroundings of Civil Engineering Faculty

This bachelor thesis explores stationary traffic in surroundings of the Faculty of Civil Engineering. The research aims to discover impacts of a recent reconstruction and a simultaneous parking charge imposition of Veveří Parking Lot on drivers’ parking habits. The thesis is based on field surveys. Acquired data are used as background information for an analysis of parking spot day occupation and parking duration. Furthermore, the data measured at the parking lot are compared with data concerning other parking possibilities in the given area. Finally, a concept suggesting an optimal usage of parking areas is presented.

Apartment House

The aim of this bachelor's thesis is the elaboration of project documentation for the construction of a new apartment building in the southwestern part of the village Holubice. The building is designed as a detached building with four above-ground and one underground floor partly below ground level. In the apartment building with a single-layered flat roof, there are 8 residential units, technical facilities and house equipment. There is also a designed elevator in the building. The drawing part is processed using the AutoCad program, the visualization is processed in the ArchiCad and Lumion program.

Residence Zlatá Pole in Letovice

The aim of the diploma thesis is designing the transport infrastructure for the new building of the 4 apartment buildings in Letovice. The design documentation for building permission contains direction and height solution of the building, static and pedestrian traffic and also design traffic signs and outlook’s ratios. The whole newly emerging site is designed as zone 30.

Family house with an establishment

The aim of this work is preparation of family house with an estabilishment located in urban area project documentation. This building was designed as a two-storey and single-family with five living rooms for 5 - 6 family members. It´s part also is attached garage as well as part with an estabilishment and storage of small online store. It´s platform shape is similar as a letter L. The central part - part for living - is covered with a unsymetric galbe roof, attached patrs with a flat roof. Land for construction is planar with a slight southern slope. The result of this work is a complete project documentation including heat-technical assessment and fire safety solution.

Unique Car Counting

Current systems for counting cars on parking lots usually use specialized equipment, such as barriers at the parking lot entrance. Usage of such equipment is not suitable for free or residential parking areas. However, even in these car parks, it can help keep track of their occupancy and other data. The system designed in this thesis uses the YOLOv4 model for visual detection of cars in photos. It then calculates an embedding vector for each vehicle, which is used to describe cars and compare whether the car has changed over time at the same parking spot. This information is stored in the database and used to calculate various statistical values like total cars count, average occupancy, or average stay time. These values can be retrieved using REST API or be viewed in the web application.

The diploma thesis deals with the processing of project documentation. Specifically, the parts A, B, C, D.1.1 and D.1.3 of Annex 6 to Regulation No. 499/2006 Coll., On construction documentation, as amended by Decree No. 62/2013 Coll. The documentation refers to a motel with restaurant designed for 50 guests. The plot is located in Troubsko. The motel is divided into three separate buildings. In the main building is reception, restaurant with kitchen and offices. The building has ground floor and underground floor. The accommodation is divided into two one-storey buildings. The buildings are formed by separate units with 4 or 2 rooms which are connected by one roof. All buildings are designed with flat green roof. There is parking lot for public and restaurant guests, for accommodated guests ans private parking for employees and supply is solved on the plot. The buildings are based on plain concrete foundation strips. Vertical load-bearing structures are designed from sand-lime. Horizontal load-bearing structures are designed from precast filigree slabs. Partitions are designed from autoclaved aerated concrete blocks. The facade is thermally insulated by EPS boards. The 3% slope of the roof is achieved by using tapered EPS boards. Vegetation (stone crops) will be planted on the roof. part of this thesis is static calculation and design of staircase slab from reinforced concrete.

Connection of physical models and PLC series LOGIX

My work deals with the connection and subsequent diagnostics of existing models of a stand drill, a parking lot, a trunks sorter and a ball dispenser with an Allen-Bradley PLC in the laboratory. These models will be used in the teaching of the subject called Programmable machines (BPC–PGA). The results of this work are finished connections in the form of cables with connectors and removable terminal blocks, which can be inserted into the I/O modules of the assigned PLC series LOGIX by Allen-Bradley, as well as applications and HMI for verifying the functionality of the individual components of the mentioned models.

Blansko - roundabout Masarykova x Susilova

The subject of the thesis is a design of variants of the solutions of the existing intersection streets of Masarykova, Sušilova and Nádražní in the town of Blansko. The reason for its processing is to find out the possibility of a prospective solution of the intersection. The output of the work is proposed two variants and their comparison in terms of capacity and traffic. The work also contains an evaluation of the traffic survey, capacity assessment of prospective intensities, price estimation of both variants and verification of the passage of the roundabout. The proposed variants improve static transport in the area.
