Design Of Acoustic Diffusers To Increase Room Diffusion
Burda, Jan
This work focuses on design of acoustic diffusers and simulation of their influence on the acoustic field. The basic types are described in terms of their construction and scattering properties. The work also uses the AFMG Reflex simulation program. This makes it possible to verify the design for simple diffusers.
Application for Measurement of Room Impulse Responses
Vrbík, Matouš ; Balík, Miroslav (referee) ; Schimmel, Jiří (advisor)
This paper studies problematics of room impulse response measuring. Signals appropriate for measuring are mentioned, with emphasis on stepped sine signal (sweep) and MLS signals. Measuring methods suitable for particular signals are introduced. Another parameter characterizing room qualities is reverberation time. Theoretical and practical methods for determination of this parameter are described. First part of this thesis offers solution in MATLAB environment. Functions for generating measuring signals and for subsequent processing of measured data were created. In second part of this thesis, methods were implemented in C++ language and standalone application, which uses ASIO technology, was created.
Acoustical room impulse response database with parametrization of subsequent reverberation
Šiška, Jakub ; Schimmel, Jiří (referee) ; Balík, Miroslav (advisor)
Theoretical part of this bachelor’s thesis discusses description of impulse response, echogram, various methods of impulse response measurement and their comparison. Next part includes describing objective acoustical parameters, remaining energy analysis and its frequency dependent visualization by energy decay relief. Furthermore, existing databases of impulse responses are documented. The practical part consists of realization of own database of impulse responses and various graphical visualizations computed from these impulse responses. In the next part, algorithm for energy decay relief parameterization and modeling of impulse responses is described and realized in Matlab software. In the last part, a listening test is performed to verify impulse response modeling.
Design and Measurement of Parameters of Acoustic Diffusors
Burda, Jan ; Vrba, Kamil (referee) ; Schimmel, Jiří (advisor)
This work focuses on the issue of acoustic diffusers. The introductory chapter describes the necessary theory of the sound distribution through enclosed space. Acoustic fields are also described. A description of the different diffusion element types and theirs design methods follows. It focuses mainly on design, which uses pseudo-random mathematical sequences. The aim of the work is to produce several types of acoustic diffusors and to verify their diffusion properties by means of measurements. The work uses the AFMG Reflex to simulate the diffusion properties of the proposed elements. Further, the thesis contains a description of the diffusion properties measurement process by the boundary plane method and the process of evaluating the measured data using the Matlab program.
Acoustical measurent in real environment
Mach, Václav ; Mačák, Jaromír (referee) ; Míča, Ivan (advisor)
This bachelor thesis discusses the issue of acoustical measurement. There are dierent signals described, which are used for this purposes, both MLS and esweep, compared their advantages and disadvantages and made some practical demonstrations of impulse response measurement. Furthermore, the fundamentals of reberbation time measurement are described in theory. The practical part of this thesis consists of the measurement application, written in the C++ language and mainly targeted for Linux systems. Qt multiplatform toolkit has been utilized for the GUI part.
