Comparison of development of Gross Domestic Product in the European Union

The topic of this bachelor thesis is the comparison of development of gross domestic product in the European Union. The aim of the work then is to analyze the development of gross domestic product in the European Union from 1996 to 2011. Between 1996 and 2005 will be made general analysis of the impact and the main attention will be focused on the years 2006 to 2011. In the second section of the analysis will be compared gross value added of sectors by using the production approach of calculating Gross Domestic Product.

The essential theme of the bachelor thesis is the issue of gross domestic product. The first objective of the thesis is to compare the development of gross domestic product in the European Union in the years from 2005 to 2010. It also pays attention to the development of gross domestic product in the Member States that are most different from the average development in the European Union. The second objective of the thesis is to analyze the gross domestic product in accordance with the manufacturing method, thus in gross value added by particular sectors. Emphasis is put both on comparing each economic sector among Member States of European Union and also on comparison of the development of each economic sector in the period before and during the economic and financial crisis from 2007 to 2010. The result of the bachelor thesis is the designation of the years with the highest or lowest gross domestic product and also the assessment of Member States on witch the economic crisis had the biggest effect.
The significance of the public expenditures to economic growth and productivity of the economy.

The main aim of my work is to consider the impact of the public expenditures to economic growth and productivity of the economy. The first part is devoted to the theoretical knowledge, which are concern to this problems. In the second part, which is divided into sub-goals, such as trends in the public expenditures, economic growth, gross value added, the number of hours worked, gross fixed capital formation and productivity of labor and capital, is surveyed their development and the segmented by the sector. Data are obtained from the Czech Statistical Office, and then calculated the results by the statistical program Statistica.
The evaluation of labor productivity in various sectors of the economy

This bachelor thesis focuses on the evaluation of labor productivity in various sectors of the economy. The theoretical part explains the term labor productivity and its importance for the economic development of the society, and also the ways of expressing productivity, factors that affect it, also the indicators of productivity and wage levels, and other matters related to the labor, labor hours and laborers themselves. The practical part consists of the measuring the development of the average number of employees from the period 2005 to 2007, and the gross value addend, per five sectors of the economy. Based on this data and using the shift-share analysis, I found out the average productivity in the state and a total change of laborers in the southern region. At the end of the thesis is a graphicall illustration that demonstrates the developement of the average number of employees and labor productivity from 2000 to 2007.
Efficiency of the regional economy

This work deals with the measurement of the regional economics. The calculation of GDP is based on the methodology of European System of Accounts 1995. GDP per capita is a key indicator for the regional policy in the EU. There are many complications in the proces of compilation of GDP. Today, a special attention is payd to the quality of regional indicators of gross value added and regional gross fixed capital formation.
Investment incentives and their efficiency on unemployment in the Pilsen region

The following work pursues a analysis of investment incentives and their impact on unemployment in the region Plzeňský kraj. First, the reader is familiarized with the legal form of investment incentives, and then is familiarized in a brief introduction with problem of unemployment. The second part gives an analysis of unemployment, employment and employment of foreigners in the region in the context of investment incentives. Subsequently, the economic impacts upon investment incentives are under examination in this work. The last chapter targets other instruments of active employment policy in the region and compares their costs and effects with costs and effects of investment incentives, that were analyzed before.
