Furthermore, this part deals with the gonarthrosis, the total knee replacement, and the physiotherapy treatment. The practical part shows the physiotherapy treatment of a female patient after a total knee replacement. The case study took place during an internship at the Military University Hospital (ÚVN). It contains a kinesiological analysis, a short - and a long-term physiotherapy schedule, a description of the therapy sessions as well as a final evaluation of the effects of the therapy. Results: During the hospitalization, patient underwent eight therapy sessions which led to an increased mobility of the left knee joint, a reduction of the pain as well as a decreasing of the swelling. Furthermore, due to the therapy the strength of certain muscles was...

Title: A case study of physiotherapeutic treatment of a patient with total endoprosthesis of the left knee joint. Aims: The aim of the thesis is to develop a case study of physiotherapeutic treatment of a patient with endoprosthesis of the left knee joint. Methods: The case study, a special part of the thesis, was developed in the context of a continuous professional practice in the Rehabilitation Clinic of Malvazinky, which took place during January and February 2022. Initially, a medical history was taken and an initial kinesiological examination was performed, based on which short-term and long-term goals of therapy were established. Subsequently, 10 therapeutic units were performed following the set goals. The whole therapy was concluded with a final kinesiological examination and evaluation of the effect of the therapy. Results: From the evaluation of the effect of the therapy, it was found that most of the key values were improved during the therapy sessions. Keywords: total knee replacement, knee joint, gonarthrosis, case study, physiotherapy
A case study of physiotherapeutic treatment of a patient with total knee replacement
Kozubíková, Alžběta Marie ; Dvořáčková, Dominika (advisor) ; Feherová, Martina (referee)
Author: Alžběta Marie Kozubíková Title: A case study of physiotherapeutic treatment of a patient with total knee replacement Objectives: The aim of theoretical part of the thesis is a thorough and complete introduction into gonarthrosis. The aim of the practical part of thesis is to present a case study of a female patient with total knee replacement. The patient, who had been diagnosed with gonarthrosis, underwent treatment in a private medical facility MediCentrum Praha. The treatment was followed by post-surgical rehabilitation, consisting of a series of therapeutical procedures whose effect is assessed. Methods: The present bachelor thesis consists of two parts. The theoretical one provides some basic information about the anatomy and kinesiology of the knee joint. The chapter called Gonarthrosis discusses the condition in detail, as patients with gonarthrosis are the most common candidates for total knee replacement. The chapter also explains pathomechanics, symptoms, occurrence rate and treatment options. Other chapters give an overview of efficient methods and techniques that physiotherapy can offer, following total knee replacement. The special part focuses on the details of physical therapy of the patient after the above-mentioned surgery and assessment of its effectiveness. It is based on...

Title: Case report of a physiotherapeutic care patient with a diagnosis of total knee replacement of the knee joint Aims: The main aim of my bachelor thesis is to process a case report of a physiotherapeutic care patient with a diagnosis of total knee replacement of the knee joint. Part of the work is also a comprehensive theoretical introduction to the topic. Methods: This bachelor thesis consists of a general and a special part. The general part contains informations about the anatomy and kinesiology of the knee joint, information about osteoarthritis which is the most common indication for total knee replacement, it's etiopathogenesis and it's treatment. It also contains a chapter on total knee replacement, it's history, types of endoprostheses, indications and contraindications of this procedure and especially the subsequent rehabilitation and effect of therapeutic procedures used in physiotherapeutic care. The special part is processed in the form of a case report of a patient after total knee arthroplasty. It contains anamnesis, complete initial kinesiological analysis, short-term and long-term physiotherapy plan, therapeutic units, final examination and evaluation of the performed therapy. Results: Physiotherapeutic care showed an improvement in the patient's clinical condition in almost all...

Title: Case report of a patient of physiotherapeutic care after total endoprosthesis of the right knee joint Objectives: The aim of the bachelor thesis is to process theoretical knowledge of anatomy and kinesiology of the knee joint, total endoprostheses of this joint and rehabilitation procedures after TEP implantation. The aim of the special part is a case report of a patient diagnosed with st.p. total endoprosthesis of the right knee joint with practical rehabilitation and evaluation of its effect. Methods: The general part is the processing of research on the topic of TEP of the knee joint. The special part is processed in the form of a patient's case report and consists of an initial kinesiological analysis with the determination of a short-term and long-term physiotherapy plan, eight therapeutic units and an output kinesiological analysis. In the end, there is an evaluation of the effect of therapy. The case report was prepared in the medical facility Vršovická zdravotní a.s. during continuous professional practice in the period 13.1. - 9.2.2022. Results: During physiotherapeutic rehabilitation, the patient's range of motion in the operated joint increased to both flexion and extension. Author: Aneta Hodáňová Title: Case Study of Physiotherapy Treatment of a Patient after Unicondylar Endoprosthesis Implantation of the Right Knee Joint. Objectives: The objective of this bachelor thesis is to perform a case study of a physiotherapeutic care of the patient after implantation of unicondylar endoprosthesis of the right knee joint, to guide and record individual therapies and to evaluate their impacts. Methods: The bachelor thesis encompasses of general (theoretical) and special (practical) parts. The general part outlines theoretical information about anatomy of the knee joint, unicondylar replacement and degeneration disease gonarthrosis that preceded the implantation of joint replacement. The special part describes the performed case study of the patient including the initial examination, the subsequent individual therapies and the exit examination. The important part of the practical study is the assessment of the effects of the whole therapy amid the hospitalization of the patient in the medical center Vršovická zdravotní a.s. Results: The results generally showed that the progress of all applied therapies lagged in a comparison with other patients with the same type of implantation. The possible explanation of such results might be the set of various factors such as patient's age,...

Pavlová, Lenka ; Kubový, Petr (advisor) ; Jelen, Karel (referee)
Title: The influence of pharmacological substances from the SYSADOA group on knee osteoarthritis. Objectives: The aim of this work is to determine the effect of three - month usage of pharmacological substances from the SYSADOA group on the subjective perception of the difficulties associated with the knee osteoarthritis and on the reological changes in the joint. Methods: In collaboration with rehabilitation and orthopedic centres 18 probands with knee osteoarthritis in the second degree were obtained. These probands were divided into two groups - the experimetal group (including those who have taken Proenzi 3 plus) and the control group (including those who have taken placebo). With all the pacients the input clinical examination and the medical history were done. Probands had been using these preparations for twelve weeks. After this time, the changes in the subjective perception using the WOMAC test and reological changes in the joint were evaluated, using a special knee rheometer. Results: The results of objectively measured parameters clearly proved that the Proenzi 3 plus has a positive effect on the rheological properties of the knee osteoarthritis. The experimental group had a statistically significant improvement in both of these parameters, as opposed to the control group. Concerning...

This thesis is divided in two parts - the general and the specialized one. In the general part it follows theoretical knowledge of problematics of unilateral endoprosthesis of knee joint implementation, different types of endoprosthesis, indications and gonarthrotis. Significant part is dedicated to physiotherapeutical procedures and means of treatment of patients after unilateral knee joint replacement. I dedicated the specialized part, elaborated in form of case interpretation, to a description of essential cooperation with the patient during the time of hospitalization, I determine short and long term plan and evaluate the effect of therapy.
