Genealogical Data Visualization

The aim of this work is to design and create a web application for displaying genealogical data. The data are displayed from created database that has been filled with freely available data. Nette Framework and MySQL were used for the solution. The application allows users to filter displayed data according to certain criteria, as well as modify or add new ones. It is especially benefical for genealogists and those interedted in their origin.

This thesis contains detailed study of given problems related to genealogy science and genealogical records. There are analyzed roles and relationships that occurs in genealogical records and problems of their representation are described too. The goal is to design and implement system, which will validate relationships in genealogical records and enable processing this data.
Database for Genealogical Models

The DEMoS system is a genealogical database that is used to transcribe records from various historical sources. Currently, the system only supports transcripts from matrices. The first goal of this thesis is to analyze database system and table schemes used in system DEMoS. I will look at the suitability of the selected data types and the occurrence of indexes, which should help with the database performance. Since this system aims to transcribe from more sources then matrices, I will work on a proposal for the integration of other historical sources. The sources of "Urbář", "Berní rula", "Lánové rejstříky" and "Poddánska priznávací fasé" will be integrated. I will need to design new tables for these resources and implement necessary classes in the system (for example, classes that communicate with database). I will also make necessary changes to the user interface and implement missing views.
Modelling on Historical Data

The aim of this thesis is to design and implement a web application that allows the display and editing of genealogical models. These models are created using a program that permits their automatic assembly from available registry records. A great focus of the solution is the connection of the web application with this program. The application is developed using Node.js, written in JavaScript using its React library.The web application provides the user with access to the mentioned program and allows him to view and edit the output of this program. It is especially concerned with the user-friendliness and simplicity of the application. The solution also includes integration into an existing system which provides the user with the possibility of transcribing data from archives and manages a community database.

This thesis deals with the efficiency of transcription of matrices into computers. The goal is to create mechanisms that will improve the orientation in a larger number of form inputs. These mechanisms should also smartly complement the input field and check for errors.
Genealogy Database System

This bachelor thesis originated as an extension to project DEMoS, which aims to create a system for managing digitalized records of old parish books. The goal of this bachelor thesis is to develop an application for managing family trees for its users. The application automatically compares related family trees to find any inconsistencies or conflicts. The system attempts to connect persons in family trees to their corresponding counterparts from the database of registry records. The completed application deals with some amount of uncertainty between persons and takes the various quality of original records into account. The developed solution provides its users the ability to discover inaccuracies in their family trees and learn more about their lineage thanks to the data from registry records. The system is implemented as a web application using mainly the following technologies: ASP.NET Core, C#, Angular, MySQL, HTML, SCSS.
Modeling System Based on Archival Data

The aim of this work is to design and implement scripts in PHP for converting output archived data from Prolog to the MySQL web application database.The application script should be used to transfer the writing of archived data processed by the Prolog language to others relational databases used for data archiving and their further presentation.

The goal of this thesis is design and implementation of application which advances representation of genealogical data using current geographical information systems. The base of application is processing GEDCOM file, data agregation and selection on users request and creation of KML file, which is used to distribution of geographical data.

Genealogy Information System in ASP.NET 2.0

This bachelor thesis is engaged in evolution on genealogy information system. The reader is in a position to learn interesting information about genealogy as disciplinary division. It is explaining the question of searching our ancestry. Further, it is addicted to ASP.NET 2.0 and it's advanced capability of the creating web applications. The question of the generation of the genealogical tree, PDF files using the open-source library is also explained there. In the end, there are described possible upgrades of this system.
