Analysis of External Environment of am Chosen Organization

This bachelor thesis is focused on an analysis of external environment of an chosen organization. First the bachelor thesis deals with definition of the term strategy and strategic management. Then individual analyses of external environment are discussed. The first analysis is PEST analysis. The PEST analysis defines political, economic, social and technolgical influences affecting the chosen organization. The next analysis is an analysis of competitive environment. This analysis uses the Porter's five forces model. These forces are threat of new entrants, bargaining power of buyers, threat of substitute products or services, bargaining power of suppliers and rivalry among existing competitor. The last analysis of this thesis is a SWOT analysis. The SWOT analysis defines the strenghts and weaknesses together with the opportunities and threats. According to result of analyses, the bachelor thesis should recommend the strategy the chosen organization. The organization should accept the strategy and to increase its competitiveness.

The subject of this bachelor paper was elaboration of a business strategy for selected company. The main purpose was to evaluate the business of the company in order to prepare or change its strategy. Methods used for evalution of the position of the company: financial analysis, analysis of external environment, STEP analysis, SWOT analysis, operating model. All processed information related to periods 2006 and 2007.
