Modelování THM procesů v horninách
Blaheta, Radim ; Kohut, Roman ; Neytcheva, M. ; Starý, Jiří
This paper is devoted to medelling thermal (T), hydraulic (H) and mechanical (M) processes in rocks. These physical processes seem to be most important ones for many engineering applications ranging from the classical mining, tunelling and underground constructions to new geotechnologies of waste disposal or geothermal anergy utilization.
Poslední trendy v paralelním programování
Jakl, Ondřej
The paper gives a survey on current approaches and trends in programming parallel systems, paying special attention to scientific and high-performance computing. The mainstream tools (libraries, languages, products) for systems with shared and distributed memory are characterized and some novelties like parallel Matlab are introduced.
Paralelní výpočty modelových problémů termo-elastic kých procesů: srovnání programových kódů založených na MPI a OpenMP
Kohut, Roman ; Starý, Jiří ; Kolcun, Alexej
The paper concerns the mathematical modelling of thermo-mechanical processes in nuclear waste repositories and deals especially with the computations of thermo-elastic responses of rocks in the vicinity of geological deposition of the spent nuclear fuel.
Matematické modelování: 25 let výzkumu na Ústavu geoniky AV ČR
Blaheta, Radim
The paper describe some important results in mathematical modelling at the Institute. For example some computer programing, development of software, modelling and application in mining, in nuclear waste deposition etc.
Seminář numerické analýzy. Modelování a simulace náročných technických problémů. Zimní škola. Výkonné a paralelní počítače, programovací technologie a numerická algebra

Seminar of Numerical Analysis 2007(SNA´07) is the forth meeting of a series started in 2003. SNA´07 is the third of the SNA meetings, which is held at the Institute of Geonics AS CR Ostrava. At this occasion, we would like to mention that the Institute was founded in 1982, which means not only 25 years of work of the Institute but also 25 years of research in mathematical modelling methods and creating a research group that is taking part in organizing SNA meetings. As become a tradition, SNA´07 is a combination of winter school and seminar, which makes the program attractive for a broad range colleagues.
O limitní přesnosti segregovaných technik pro sedlobodové úlohy
Jiránek, P. ; Rozložník, Miroslav
In this contribution, we analyze the numerical behavior of the Schur complement reduction method and the null-space projection method – two representatives of segregated methods used to solve large- scale saddle point systems. They are both based on the transformation of the original problem to the reduced form which is solved iteratively (e.g. by the conjugate gradient method) giving approximations to one block component of the solution vector. The remaining unknowns are solved by the back-substitution to the original system. Depending on the actual implementation, we estimate the maximum attainable accuracy level of the computed approximate solution.
