Biotransformation of nitro aromates

Contamination by nitroaromatic compounds, such as explosives, pesticides or other nitroaromatic compounds, is worldwide environmental problem. This text focuses on contamination by compounds from military and ammunition industry, most especially 2,4,6-trinitrotoluene (TNT), 1,3,5-trinitro-1,3,5-triazinane (RDX) and 1,3,5,7-tetranitro-1,3,5,7-tetrazocane (HMX). First goal of this work is to provide the reader with a aerobic biodegradation and transformation processes of nitroaromatic compounds named above. The second goal is to compare the toxicity of initial nitroaromates and their transformation intermediates.

Modification of polyurethane by biodegradable poly(hydroxybutyrate)

Cílem předložené bakalářské práce byla syntéza elastomerního polyuretanu plněného biodegradabilním polyhydroxybutyrátem. Vzorky byly podrobeny analýze morfologie pomocí rastrovací elektronové mikroskopie, mechanické vlastnosti byly testovány jednoosou tahovou zkouškou. Práce se taktéž zabývá předpovědí mechanických vlastností na základě teorií kaučukové elasticity. Bylo zjištěno, že výsledný materiál je částicový kompozit, kde se vzrůstajícím hmotnostním obsahem plniva v materiálu vzrůstá modul pružnosti. Predikce tahových křivek pomocí softwaru SEC.exe ukazovala pro reálný průběh křivky nereálné hodnoty hustot polymerních řetězců. U modelů, které vykazovaly reálné hodnoty hustot, byly naopak hodnoty napětí vyšší, než ve skutečnosti naměřené.

Degradation possibilities of synthetic macromolecular materials centred on biodegradations

This work deals with the degradation possibilities of synthetic macromolecular materials. Mechanical, chemical and chemo-physical degradation is described, but the work is focused on biodegradation. Polymer biodegradation is its decomposition by microorganisms. The aim of the work is to show the advantages of biodegradation and to arrange the knowledge acquired about the biodegradation of particular macromolecular materials. There is resumed the information about the degradation of polyurethanes as an exception among synthetic polymers, which are mostly resistant to biodegradation. Attention is also paid to biodegradable polymers.

Dlouhodobá péče o sochařská díla a díla uměleckých řemesel z kamene v krajině

Předkládaná metodika byla vytvářena v letech 2012-2015 v rámci řešení projektu NAKI č. 27 vedeného pod názvem „Dlouhodobá péče o sochařská díla a díla uměleckých řemesel z kamene v krajině“ financovaného MK ČR. Podkladem pro vypracování této metodiky je mnohaletá restaurátorská a pedagogická činnost doc.Jiřího Novotného akad. soch. na FR a na řadě významných památek, mezi nimiž sochařská výtvarná a architektonická díla zhotovená z kamene, zvláště z pískovce, zaujímají významné místo.
Na tvorbě metodiky se podílel kolektiv odborníků složený z různých oborů participujících na péči o památky: P. Lesniaková, R. Tišlová, P. Dvořák, J. Halda, J. Kaše, P. Kotlík, Z. Staffen. Metodika se na interdisciplinárním základě zabývá postupy, které se v rámci dlouhodobé péče podílejí na poučené přípravě prací na památkách - sochařských a uměleckořemeslných dílech z kamene. Metodiku, která může být základem pro systematické poznání aktuálního stavu památek v jejich historické zprostředkovanosti, které lze využít při identifikaci díla, popisu a zhodnocení závad a postižení možných příčin, jejich vzniku. Získané údaje následně slouží zpracování materiálů pro posouzení přípravy prací na památce, zpracování plánů dlouhodobé péče, přípravy podkladů pro přípravu restaurátorských záměrů a vč. jejich základní koncepce. V metodice je vytvořen systém po sobě jdoucích kroků směřujících k hlubšímu poznání materiálové i výtvarné struktury památky a postižení jejich současných i možných budoucích významů pro nás.

Composting of urban green areas in urban compost facility in Březnice

This thesis deals with the use of municipal biowaste, which processes compost facility in the city Březnice. In this work are dealt optimal conditions for composting, composting grass biomass then composting technology and at the end concept of composting in the city Březnice with a total processing technology and equipment. The aim of my thesis was to outline the composting and propose optimal solutions for the construction of a composting facility. Part of this work is also an experiment with ion exchange capacity, which proves the importance of following the correct composting process for the production of quality compost. The contribution of this work rests primarily as such its integrity and organization. It is possible to find there the right parameters for creating the right conditions of the composting process, including the elements necessary for actual registration of compost.

Vliv vybraných faktorů na kolonizaci biologicky rozložitelných plastů mikroorganismy

This diploma thesis deals with the degradation of biologically degradable plastics. It focuses on the intensity of their degradation under the conditions of composting and on the influence of various factors on the colonization of biodegradable plastics by microorganisms. In the introduction of the theoretical part the key concepts of the field of biodegradable plastics are defined. The difference between plastics that are actually biodegradable and that are subject to only partial degradation is specified. Further the description of the process of biodegradation of polymers and the definition of biodegradability and compostability of polymer sis noted. At the end of theoretical part, the composting proces is described, with the enumeration of the phases and factors that influence the process. The practical part is devoted to the examination of the degradation of biologically degradable plastics in composting conditions both under a laboratory and under operating conditions. Laboratory experiment is complemented by the study of the influence of various factors on the process of biodegradation and on the intensity of colonization of biodegradable plastics by microorganisms.

Functional thin films for applications using advanced oxidation processes

This diploma thesis aims to optimalization the process of magnetron sputtering and creating of thin layers for use in advanced oxidation processes. During the work was created range of TiOx layers. For this process was used physical method of sputtering called PVD. The photocatalytic activity of the deposited films was tested by degradation of organic dyes Acid Orange 7. Furthermore, the layer was analyzed on surface morphology (SEM) and the layer thickness (profilometry). Study of created layers was focused on the link between the characteristics of each layer, deposition parameters and photocatalysis properties. Based on these results, the layers were applied in a system using AOP for the decomposition of organic substances. The first chapter is devoted to a summary of existing knowledge of photocatalysis and its principles. Another chapter is devoted to the theory and methods of applying thin layers and summary of knowledge of the low-pressure discharges. In the exprimental section there are described various components of the apparatus. Furthermore, the experimental part of the work focuses on the analysis of the optimization process of applying thin layers on titanium oxide. The last chapter of the thesis contains the results of the experiments on the basis of is designed another research progress of this issue.
