INTERNATIONALIZATION OF INNOVATION IN SMEs AS A STRATEGIC CHOICE: THE CZECH CASE

With the growing competition both on domestic and on international markets, SMEs face very specific challenges to sustain in their activity. A strategy to gain a competitive edge can be to internationalize innovative activities. In this work the internationalization of innovation is reflected in the context of SMEs. This is done in the first step by making a connection between research on SMEs, on Internationalization and on R&D and subsequently building a theoretical framework. In the second step, the innovative activity of a Swiss firm's Czech subsidiary is investigated on a case-study basis from the perspective of the suggested theoretical framework. The main contribution of this work to research is that it puts in a research field, which is dominated by large enterprises, the focus on SMEs.
Rise of the Auto Industry in China and it’s Impact on the Auto Industry in Europe

This thesis deals with the internationalisation strategies of Chinese car manufacturers towards the European car market in the period 2012-2025. It starts by introducing the internationalisation framework on a theoretical level with special regards to the automotive industry. In the second part then the major characteristics of the Chinese and European car markets are identified. The conclusions from this analysis then create the base for a subsequent analysis of capabilities of Chinese car manufacturers with respect to the target European market. In the last part of the paper the identified information is used for coming up with potential entry strategies of Chinese carmakers in Europe in the specified time period as well as identifying the most probable consequences of this market entry for the current market players.
Venture capital and its impact on internationalization of business activities

This thesis deals with venture capital and its impact on business activities. Its goal is to prove that properly executed venture capital investment could be beneficial not only for the recipient but also for the investor. In the theoretical part, the thesis deals with analysis of venture capital, its support in the Czech Republic and its impact on internationalization of business activities. In the practical part, there is an example how venture capital could be a suitable support for company's development in foreign markets.

Small and medium-sized Enterprises (SME's) are driving force of Czech economy, development, innovations, growth and employ more than 60 % of employees. Thanks to globalization and reduction of barriers of trade Czech SME's must face increasing competition. On this account the process of the internacionalization of SME's becomes actual and facilitates them to survive. The main objective of this thesis is to propose methodical process of identification factors, which influence success of SME's in foreign markets. Further is designed evaluating system, which evaluates success of the small and medium-sized enterprises in foreign markets. At the close of the thesis is presented case study, which verify proposed methodical process.
Internacionalizace firmy O.T.E.C. a komparace její strategie na vybraných zahraničních trzích

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to evaluate the process of internationalization of the company O.T.E.C. and to compare the strategies that it uses on different markets, nominally markets of the Czech Republic and France. The company specializes itself in forwarding services. The Czech O.T.E.C. subsidiary extended its services by logistics and warehousing services, which represents the main point of my comparison. First the company is presented. This is followed by the object of the field of working activities and then by the explanation of the internationalization process. In the conclusion both parts of the company are compared regarding different services, areas of interest and impacts of the economic crisis of years 2008-2010.
Strategický rozvoj společnosti komerčních nemovitostí KCRE: CEE expanze v internacionalizačním rámci

Primary aim of this master thesis is to depict an emergence of a professional service firm performing its' activities on the commercial real estate market in the Czech republic and to project future development in CEE region confirming existence of factors leading to fast internationalization of a professional service firm concept with specific attention to a born global concept. The work aims to identify factors of a PSF growth in various dimensions and in various specific markets as well as best practices of other globally operating structures. While the theoretical part of the thesis presents principles of a professional service firm's (PSF) function, commercial real estate market and internationalization, the practical part assumes application and implications for the company Kenoby Group ltd. (KCRE). The academic enrichment of research is derived from the three-dimensional interconnection of the concepts of Professional Service Firm, Commercial Real Estate and Internationalization, Born Global respectively.
