The roof structure of the timber log cabin house in Krkonoše

The major objective of this study is to design and statistically assess two variants of the roof construction at log cabin. The first option is wooden prism. The secon option deals with woundwood. The building has 2 floors – above ground floor and partly residential accit. Roof construction is formed by two intersecting gable roof frames. Ground pland dimension of roof construction is 22x13,3 m and the height of the higher roof frame is 6,6 m. The building is situated in Krkonoše near by Špindlerův Mlýn. Climatic load ares considered in both variants.
Risks and Measures at the Renovation of Vernacular Wooden Structures and Comparable New Buildings

This diploma thesis is focused on structural progression of massive wooden structures, requirements to contemporary massive wooden structures, development of carpentry joints and connecting instruments used in constructions and reconstructions of these buildings, and analysis of risks connected with reconstructions of selected historical wooden structures. Another item of this thesis concerns on evaluation of possible risks in particular connecting instruments that are used in massive wooden structures per the FMEA method. The main content of thesis includes a description of selected historical wooden structures, options of their damages, forms of remediation and a description of possible risks and measures in reconstructions. In conclusion the thesis focuses on comparison of historical massive wooden structures and comparable new buildings.
New building log cabin object in Malenovice, rough superstructure

The bachelor’s thesis is focused on the construction of log house. Solves realization of rough superstructure. It is a single-storey building with an attic. The building is designed mostly from log construction and partly brick with wood-beamed ceilings, roofed a gable roof. The work includes technical report, technological regulation for vertical construction, ceiling and roof truss, design a construction site installations including construction organization, time schedule, design mechanical assembly, control and test plan, health and safety at work.
Analysis and comparison of wooden houses

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to compare on the cost of log cabins and frame wooden constructions and descriptions technology their construction. The first part of the thesis is theoretical and it deals with prices, costs and budgets, that arise in the construction industry. Further the thesis dedicates to construction systems of wooden buildings, their history and wood as building material. Finally the theoretical part describes technology of construction of log cabin and frame wooden houses, which is completed with own photographs and time – lapse video. The second part is devoted to the analysis of the cost of selected wooden buildings. Overall the analys is realize on three log cabins from the company Sruby Masiv s. r. o., on three log cabins from Haniš sruby s. r. o., on free frame wooden buildings of Wood System s. r. o. and on free frame wooden buildings of Rovax s. r. o., prices are compared of the six log cabin and with the six wooden buildings. At first the thesis deals with the characteristics of individual wooden buildings, the calculation of ratio indicators (built-up area, built-up area, floor area and volume of woodused in wooden buildings) then adjusted prices to prices of carcass and wood built into construction. Finally, the calculated values are summarized in orderly chart, based on what cost ofbconstruction can be compared and evaluated. The conclusion evaluates the aim of the thesis. It compares the technology of construction of log cabin and frame timber construction, its time length and difficulty of construction. Finally, the conclusion deals with the results of the analysis of the cost of selected wooden buildings.
Šumava cabin as a place of memory

The work deals with the tramp locality in Šumava. It is based on available resources and interviews with people knowing the cabin. Describes the stages and history of this place. Captures and characterizes authorities and communities close to the cabin. It places the cabin in their context. It mainly describes the organization of the CHKO Šumava (Protected Landscape Area) and deals extensively with tramping as a phenomenon of spending free time during the cabin's existence. The diploma thesis seeks answers to the questions of who is a tramp, why the cabin is an important place for this community. It searches for common elements between individual narrators and also answers the fundamental question of what defines a real tramp and if the cabin is really a tramp place. This bachelor thesis is focused on making a documentation of building process of a log house. Beginning part of thesis includes specifications, descriptions of individual parts of construction, construction works and used materials. Next part closely describes sole construction stages. This part is divided into two main parts, structural works and internal construction and finishes. Detailed are matters of settlement of massive wooden structures. At the end of the thesis wood preservation and surface finishes are mentioned. The progress of construction works is amended with photodocumentation from constructed house. The thesis also contains working drawings and selected drawing details which are related to building quality and long-lasting construction.
Timber detached house

This bachelor's thesis deals with a design of a massive wooden building - a log house, as a house for a five-member family with a small handmade workshop. The building is located in the Ore Mountains in the village called Klíny, district Most. The proposed building is two-storey with a sloping roof. In most cases natural-based materials are used to make the building as ecological as possible. Windows and doors openings have laminated wooden frames. The building is based on a layer of foam glass to improve thermal insulation properties. The family house is designed to provide the warm of home with a touch of nature.

Investment costs of wooden structures

The aim of this thesis is to compare the costs for the construction of various construction systems wooden buildings. The first part deals with the historical and contemporary construction systems wooden structures and materials that are used in these buildings. Details are discussed in the work of the wood, its properties and uses in the construction industry. Another chapter deals with the pricing, kinds of budgets and costs. In the end of the technical characteristics listed buildings. Practical work in the introduction describes the layout and construction of selected timber, which is then compared with log technology. The comparison is done from several perspectives. First they are compared and evaluated their quality characteristics. A chapter about the cost of delivery and installation of individual houses from the perspective of works HSV and PSV. As the last are compared to the cost of individual construction and then the total cost of construction, operation and disposal of buildings. The conclusion is a summary evaluation of the results obtained.
