Preparation and implementation of construction and technical survey of a building
Mezlík, Vojtěch ; Heřmánková, Věra (referee) ; Anton, Ondřej (advisor)
The subject of bachelor’s thesis is a structural-technical survey of a reinforced concrete frame structure. The theoretical part deals with the inspection of reinforced concrete structures, destructive and non-destructive diagnostic methods for the diagnosis of reinforced concrete structures, and the Czechoslovak architect Jaroslav Josef Polívka. The practical part conducts a structural-technical survey, focusing on the diagnosis of the reinforcement of selected structural elements and the determination of properties of the concrete. The reinforcement was determined using electromagnetic indicator Proceq Profometer 630 and the ground penetrating radar Hilti PS 1000 and verified by chiseled probes. The concrete strength class in the structure was estimated from core drills. In the conclusion, the condition of the structure is evaluated, and measures are proposed.
Application of the Digital Image Correlation Method for Asphalt Mixture Testing
Gavula, Dávid ; Dašek, Ondřej (referee) ; Šperka, Pavel (advisor)
Today's era offers more innovative methods for testing asphalt mixtures compared to conventional ones. The digital image correlation method is increasingly being used to supplement or even replace some asphalt mix testing procedures. The aim of this thesis is to verify the possible positive use of this method in further asphalt mix testing. In the theoretical part, the DIC method and the scientific papers in which the DIC method has been used in selected asphalt mixtures tests are presented. In the practical part, test bodies are first made from the asphalt mixture and then these bodies are subjected to a modified fatigue resistance test according to the norm ČSN EN 12697-24, whereby the use of the DIC method is investigated for the possible representation of crack initiation and actual crack development.
Study of the possibilities of using superabsorbent additives in concrete
Kubíček, Matyáš ; Jančář,, Josef (referee) ; Hela, Rudolf (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with the study of self-healing of cracks in cement composites. In the theoretical part, four chapters describe the mechanisms that influence the durability of concrete or can extend it. In the first chapter, I deal with concrete additives that affect the water consumption in concrete. This chapter is focused on plasticizers. In the second chapter, I deal with the treatment of concrete, how long to treat it and what are the ways of treating it. In the third chapter, I write about rehabilitation, about the additional life extension of building structures using various technologies and mechanisms. The fourth and last chapter of the theoretical part is the most comprehensive and discusses the self-healing mechanisms of concrete with the help of several types of microorganisms that heal cracks with their products. Then about calcium lactates, which are often combined with microorganisms to improve the effects of self-healing. About non-metallic polymer fibers, both natural and synthetically produced, added to concrete to improve properties. In the last subsections, I mention the use of colloidal SiO2 solutions and especially superabsorbent polymers, the investigation of which plays a significant role in this thesis. In the experimental part, the influence of the amount of superabsorbent additive in concrete on the ability of self-healing is investigated. The ability to heal cracks, which will be artificially created after mixing the concrete mixture, when placing the concrete in the forms, is investigated. Furthermore, the influence of the effect of the superabsorbent additive in different deposits will be investigated. Subsequently, the samples will be tested for tensile strength after bending and compressive strength.
Static provision of baroque church
Kadlec, Jaroslav ; Šiška, Radek (referee) ; Strnad, Jiří (advisor)
The master´s thesis solves a static provision of the Baroque church of Saint James in Městečko Trnávka. The church was built in 1752 in Baroque style on the place of the original Romanesque church. It is a single-nave building with dimensions of about 46 × 20 m. The nave is followed by a massive square tower with a height of about 34 m. The reason for the restoration of the church are cracks in the external masonry and arch due to small space stiffness. The building will be reinforced by horizontal and transverse prestressing. They are designed prestressing tendons, called monostrands, using method of alternative cable channels. It will help to avoid other derformations and it will increase a stiffness of the structure.
Reconstruction of barn as a part of Miroslavské Knínice castle
Martínek, David ; Bažant, Zdeněk (referee) ; Strnad, Jiří (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the reconstruction of a barn in Miroslavské Knínice. First, it was necessary to examine the conditions of the barn. Crumbling masonry and cracks in perimeter walls had been found, so it was necessary to create a design and assess new solutions to repair the barn. On the basis of these defects, it was proposed to pull down a half of the barn, including the foundations and proposed to lay concrete over this part of formwork together with reinforcement.
Evaluation of an inspection program and overhauls for ZLIN 26 aircraft
Jančář, Milan ; Finda, Jindřich (referee) ; Augustin, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor´s thesis deals with ZLIN Z 26 Series Aircraft maintenance and repairs procedures. Even the name shows, that this theme is very demanding and extensive. My interest was to explain some maintenance procedures of these aircraft and offer changes of it. In the beginning of this thesis we can briefly learn history of the ZLIN Aircraft and particular Z 226 Series models. There are mentioned difference maintenance procedures, applicable on the planes thru the service life time. Inspection and overhaul procedures are described in details and for better understanding were attached drawings or photos. Following chapter deals with evaluation existing inspections and overhauls - maintenance – procedures. Optimization of the maintenance is part of the chapter fourth, where is described possible innovation of the maintenance check list. In the last, fifth chapter, of this thesis are mentioned possibilities of the ZLIN Aircraft life time prolongation, which is actually discussed because of some aircraft of this type series reached basic life time limit, without any serious fatigue airframe damages appears.
Structural assessment of the reinforced concrete chimney
Teplý, Jakub ; Hasala, Ivo (referee) ; Girgle, František (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is assessment of existing condition reinforced concrete factory chimney, who has undergone structural and technical survey, under which was found many failures caused of horizontally tension - significant vertical cracks in the chimney stack. The object of this work will also make appropriate proposals rehabilitation of concrete stack by design prestressed cables monostrand in horizontal direction, grouting open cracks and reprofiling surface of chimney stack.
Assessment of the current state and the static strengthening of the existing precast structure
Moštěk, Petr ; Lyčka, Lukáš (referee) ; Girgle, František (advisor)
This thesis deals with the recalculation of the existing prestressed roof beam. The goal was to find out the reason for cracks in the beam shortly after the building of the hall structure and the proposal for its strengthening.
Sewage pumping station
Kustyánová, Orsolya ; Šulák, Pavel (referee) ; Strnad, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis deals with the design and assessment of all supporting parts of a reinforced concrete sewage pumping station in the village Vrbice u Velkých Pavlovic. The main parts of the thesis are the technical report, static analysis, drawing documentations and visualisations. Calculation of internal forces was performed by the software Scia Engineer and verified by manual calculation. The drawing documentation consists of shape and reinforcement drawings of supporting parts.
Using Salome Meca computing environment to solve problems of solid mechanics
Ptáček, Tomáš ; Vaculka, Miroslav (referee) ; Vosynek, Petr (advisor)
Given bachelors thesis deals with solutions of basic tasks of body mechanics with usage of the finite element method (FEM). An open-source software Salome Meca with Code_Aster solver is used there. Basic formulas of strength of materials on which is FEM based are introduces in the beginning. Then is presented software Salome Meca with its solver Code_Aster. Followed by own solution of tasks, which contain structural analysis and series of examples for solving the fracture mechanics. Numerical solutions from Salome Meca are compared with analytical solutions, if some exist, and with solutions from commercial software Ansys Workbench.
