Dignostika varroózy a možnosti selekce včely medonosné na varroatoleranci
Lukášek, Dominik
This work deals with the varroose of honey bees, its Diagnostics, control and the possibility of the formation of the natural resistance of the beehives. Here is described the evolution of mite and its weak spots in the reproduction. Then there are described the various methods of estimation of contamination by the presence of Varroa, including their benefits and pitfalls. Another part of the work is devoted to each of the factors responsible for the natural resistance of the hives to varroose. This is primarily about the active removal of contested the fetus. VSH behavior and active elimination of mites from their own bodies and hive environment known as grooming. Important is also the birthing colony mode and the ratio of worker bees and drone of the fetus. In the work are briefly characterized by chemical control measures, with an emphasis on organic acids. In the practical part of evaluating the fallout, washes off and sanitary tests carried out at University honey bee Apiary. The subsequent discussion deals with the utility of the individual methods Varroatolerance and estimate the adequacy of their use in practice.
Ohlas na selekci na velikost kořenového systému u pšenice
Heřmanská, Anna
18 populations from mutual crossing of 6 winter wheat varieties (Akteur, Meritto, Sakura, Simila, Sulamit, Vlasta) were evaluated in shooting and in heading by its electrical capacitance in F3 and F4 generations and selected for great (A) and small (B selection) root system size (RSS). Progenies of A plants in F3 had also greater RSS in F4, and progenies of B plants in F3 had also smaller RSS in F4. From the selection difference in F3 was inherited in selection A into the following generation 43%, in selection B 18%. The selection for the RSS was therefore effective with higher response for greater RSS, what can be evolutionary advantageous. The RSS of the 18 combinations was significantly correlated not only to the respective parents, but also mutually in A and B selection. Variety Akteur increased RSS in its progenies. Correlation between RSS and grain yield in F3 generation was significant. The grain yield increment was inherited into following generations F4 and F5 insignificantly (by 14 and 9 %, respectively). These results show efficient selection for RSS, related to grain yield; the selection can be used for breeding for drought tolerance.
Problematika genetické predispozice dysplazie kyčelního kloubu u psů
Tóthová, Anna
This bachelor thesis deals with hereditary orthopedic disease in dogs called canine hip dysplasia (CHD). The first chapter focuses on the characteristics of the disease, including a description of the hip joint, occurrence, causes, symptoms, diagnosis, treatment and various evaluation systems for hip joint. The second chapter focuses on the genetic predisposition of this disease. This chapter describes potential candidate genes that cause disease and focuses on determining heritability of hip dysplasia in different breeds. It describes various breeding programs that are reducing the occurrence of this disease. Part of the bachelor thesis is the analysis of pedigree data including an estimate of heritability in the golden retriever. Using two statistical methods, the heritability coefficients for CHD h2 = 0.26 and 0.28 were estimated.
Genomické testování holštýnského skotu na farmě Viničné Šumice
Nekužová, Daniela
This thesis is focused on genomic testing cows, specifically to verity reliability new form of cattle breeding. The evaluation parameter was milk production. In the theoretical part are mentioned information about origin and extension of Holstein breed, milk productivity, and linear type. Mentioned is genomics and its evolution of use in breeding, as well benefits for breeding practice. Presentef are the basic principeles of breeding in the Czech republic, breeding value estimation principle and calculation of breeding values. Described were principles of genomics breeding value and its two methods of evaluation. Are indicaded the importance of the reference population, and opinion of czech farmers and cattle breeders. Practical parts are divided in two parts. Determine whether genomics affect actual production of milk and how much. After that separate into the best and the worst cows in breeding. Finding the difference of milk production between the origin breeding value and genomics breeding value.
Genetic Algorithms Based Game in Unity
Bábek, Radomír ; Beran, Vítězslav (referee) ; Vlnas, Michal (advisor)
This thesis focuses on the areas of game development and genetic algorithms. It describes the design and implementation of the game PlantEVO, which features special fighting plants. The player's task is to understand the workings of the genetic algorithm and to use it as efficiently as possible in breeding his plants. After then the strength of his plants is tested in online battles against other players. The battles are designed in a turn-based strategy combat style. The game uses a client-server architecture. The client is programmed in the Unity game engine, the server uses the REST API architecture.
