Paclík, Patrik ; Bátora, Branislav (referee) ; Ptáček, Michal (advisor)
The main objective of the thesis is the issue of lightning and surge protection and demonstration of its practical application at the level of a fictitious object. In the context of this, a search of the currently valid standards and legislation is carried out and a basic list of requirements for the creation of related project documentation is given a key complement of the thesis is the synthesis of lightning and surge protection with the protection of photovoltaic panels located on the roof structure of the building, where the issue of possible damage after lightning strike is addressed and the risks with external and internal protection are analysed. The thesis also includes an evaluation of possible collision in the application of lighting protection and photovoltaic panels, as well as the prevention of the spread of a possible fire from the roof to the object. Three different technical designs of external lightning protection are compared in terms of aesthetics, financial costs and practicality.
Design of lightning protection system for a historical building
Kytka, Jakub ; Janík, Daniel (referee) ; Bátora, Branislav (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the problem of protection against atmospheric overvoltage for a historical building. The historical object is a dilapidated castle, whose investor will try to renovate or rebuild the castle in the future. The aim of the bachelor thesis is to introduce the issue and then to create project documentation for the implementation of the lightning protection system. The first theoretical part of the thesis is devoted to the basic introduction to surge protection, theoretical analysis and research of standards on the issue of internal and external surge protection. The second theoretical part is devoted to the issue of risk management and its analysis according to the applicable standards, including the determination of the risk of the object under consideration. In the first practical part, drawings of the roof plan and front/rear and side views were created. In the second practical part, a lightning protection design was created for the object. In the third practical part, a schematic for the surge protection design, a lightning protection budget and a technical report were created.
Design of a transformer station for power output from a PV power plant and a diesel generator
Marák, Jiří ; Procházka, Aleš (referee) ; Orságová, Jaroslava (advisor)
This thesis is about design of a transformation station for power output from both a photovoltaic power plant and a diesel generator, serving as grid support. The primary objective is to devise a comprehensive solution including conceptualization, grid connection point, and transformer specifications capable of handling the 5 MW power output from the PV plant and the 1000 kW output from the diesel generator, including the calculation of short-circuit conditions. Furthermore, the thesis delves into the design of network breakpoints and protective measures.Lastly, it proposes dispatch control and billing metering in accordance with the operational requirements stipulated by the distribution system operator.
The desingn of the lighting protection for civil buildings
Šebesta, Ondřej ; Bátora, Branislav (referee) ; Toman, Petr (advisor)
This thesis focuses on the issue of lightning protection and goes along with ČSN EN 62 305 norms. First part goes into effects of lightning on objects and engineering networks in theory. Second part familiarizes external lightning protection and possibilities of its realization. The issues of internal protection against lightning and surge protection are analysed afterwards. Second half familiarizes protected family house and the risks are calculated for this house. External protection is designed and verified by protective angle and rolling sphere methods. Last part of this thesis focuses on internal surge protection and individual levels of surge protection are designed.
The quality of electric energy in a low voltage public supply networks
Macoszek, Pavel ; Šlezingr, Jan (referee) ; Bok, Jaromír (advisor)
This thesis contains four main chapters, which describe qualitative parameters of supply voltage and measurement and analysis received information. The theoretical part consists of three chapters. Characteristics of low voltage are described in the first chapter. Next chapter describes disturbing events, which have influence on quality supply voltage, reasons for their occurrence spreading in network, eventually arrangement leading to the disappearance of disturbing events on other electric appliances in network. Last theoretical chapter describes measuring instruments of supply voltage. The purpose of these theoretical parts is to introduce the reader into supply voltage quality issues and can be used for preparation of measurement and evaluation of acquired data under norm ČSN EN 50160 (Voltage characteristic of electricity supplied by public distribution systems). An analysis of real network is the last part of this thesis. There is applied acquired knowledge with the aim of analysis of real states of qualitative parameters of supply voltage in network.
Application of overvoltage protection in LV networks
Knebl, Jan ; Novotný, Jan (referee) ; Bátora, Branislav (advisor)
This paper describes the design of surge protection for objects of civil construction. The aim of this paper is to acquaint the reader with the problems of this region, which is nowadays especially for houses neglected. The introductory part of the thesis is focused on the theoretical analysis of the problem and become familiar with the standards in force, without which a person moving in this field certainly can not do. In the first major section is a repartition surge in general terms. In the second chapter, a repartition of surge protection on the inside and outside and a description of the individual components of these protections. The third chapter is made complete design protection for the school building, the first step is an analysis of the risks to unprotected building, then the protected and ultimately design of internal and external surge protection. In the last chapter, a check is made of the risk analysis using DEHN Support.
Project of Outgoing Transformer Unit for the Photovoltaic Power Station
Hanák, Miroslav ; Procházka, Aleš (referee) ; Orságová, Jaroslava (advisor)
This master’s thesis engages in project of outgoing transformer unit for the photovoltaic power station. It describes project and its design documentation what conducts to practising of construction. It has compared investing to more expansive transformer what has lower loss. It describes charges of operation’s transformer in twenty years. It leads project of cable low voltage. It compares whether is better to use aluminium or cupric cables. Project is led with respect for investment costs and minimum of operation loss.
Design of overvoltage protections according to CSN EN 62 305
Pochop, Zbyněk ; Paar, Martin (referee) ; Bátora, Branislav (advisor)
This Bachelor's thesis deals with the procedure in designing overvoltage protections for an ordinary house according to a new set of standards CSN EN 62305. The work consists of three main parts. The first part deals with the method of risk management according to standard CSN EN 62305-2. Besides a theoretical introduction is made a risk analysis also numerically. Result of risk analysis has implications for the way forward surge protection design for the entire building. The second part deals with the external surge protection. In the second part of the text are suggestions down lead systems and primarily air terminals. Check over is subsequently verified by the methods of the protective angle method and the rolling ball. The study also addressed the issue of TV antennae on the roof near the air-termination network. The third part of this thesis deals with internal overvoltage protection, which mainly concerns the design and location of surge arresters and lightning arrester.
High Speed Transients Modelling
Bukvišová, Zuzana ; Topolánek, David (referee) ; Orságová, Jaroslava (advisor)
This thesis deals with the high speed transient modelling in the electrical networks. The introduction of this work discusses mathematical models of the individual devices used in the system and focuses on the line representation. It also contains a more detailed description of Bergeron and frequency dependent line model. The objective of this thesis is to design a network model using ATP-EMTP simulation program. In this model, the switching overvoltage caused by shunt reactor switching and lightning overvoltage are simulated. The thesis thoroughly describes the settings of the components used in the model of analysed network and in conclusion evaluates obtained simulation results in a relation to the insulation coordination.
