The study deals with the secularization of the Czech national movement in 19th-century Moravia. It based on analyze of texts written by nationality-conscious priests, mainly members of the famous Sušil’s fellowship. They shows the split between clerical and laical parts of national movement that deepened mainly in 1860s and 1870s.
