Force calculations in permanent magnetic bearing
Bachorec, T. ; Šafr, M. ; Kozánek, Jan
Calculation of forces in permanent magnetic radial bearing by means of finite element method is presented and its results are compared with analytical estimates. From these results, the (slightly non-linear) relationship force versus radial displaceme is derived and the working position of rotor in the stator and predicted bearing stiffness are determined.
Numerical solution of Navier-Stokes equations for large Reynolds numbers using SUPG method
Damašek, Alexandr ; Burda, P.
Method for solution of Navier-Stokes equations for viscous incompressible fluid, when large Reynolds numbers are considered, is developed and tested on several examples.
Measurement of acoustic pressure in supraglottal spaces
Vokřál, J. ; Vohradník, M. ; Horáček, Jaromír
The aim is the measurement of acoustic pressure in supraglottal acoustic spaces by miniature microphones. The microphone was placed at the end of laryngeal wire applicator and its position was changed continually from the mouth to the vocal folds. This sources of acoustic signal were used: the own voice - vowels ´A´ and ´E´, and the electronic laryns. Natural frequencies nad acoustic mode shapes of the air vibration were investigated.
Impact transient responses of human skull with and without the model of the brain tissue
Pešek, Luděk ; Horáček, Jaromír ; Trnka, Jan
The developed finite element model of the human skull is used for analysis of transient phenomena after impact loading of the skull. Two methods of numerical simulation of the time response are described. The results are compared with the original experiments.
Accoustic ananlysis of finite element models of supraglottal tract considering cleft palate
Dedouch, K. ; Horáček, Jaromír ; Vampola, T. ; Vohradník, M.
FE models of supraglottal tract for vowels /A/ and /I/ are analyzed considering the cleft palate. The modal analysis for the vowel /a/ indicate, that the formant frequencies F1 and F2 are influenced by the size of the cleft only slightly. The results
Mathematical model of vocal fold vibrationh excited by air-structure interaction-numerical calculations
Horáček, Jaromír ; Švec, J.
Frequency-modal and stability analysis of the developed aeroelastic model of vocal fold vibration in the phonatory airflow are presented. Stability maps calculated for four distinct models with different types of elastic support and aerodynamic vocal

Vibration cylindrical shells containing flowing fluid
Zolotarev, Igor
The natural frequencies of free vibration of a circular cylindrical shell containing flowing inviscid fluid are studied. The numerical results obtained by use simple 1-D shell theory are compared with results obtained by use 3-D shell theory and by us NSYS numerical package. Critical flow velocity is analyzed for several shape mode of studied cylindrical shell.
