Podobnost plošných základů podle ČSN 73 1001
Koudelka, Petr
Now, that the translation into Czech and the National Annex of EC7-1 (EUROCODE 7 - Geotechnical design, Part 1: General rules) are carried out it seems convenient to make a broad comparative analysis of the EC7-1 and ČSN 73 1001 design procedures. The calculating procedure according to ČSN 73 1001 requires 8 inputs, the similar procedure according to EC7-1 requires 10 inputs. These numbers of inputs yield a huge number of combinations for a comparative analysis. The paper deals with a similarity solution of bearing capacity of shallow foundations according to ČSN 73 1001. The solution should form the base of the comparative analysis base for simpler numerical analysing.
Simultaneous radiographic observation of damaging and optical measurement of 3D surface displacement evolution in loaded specimen
Vavřík, Daniel ; Bryscejn, Jan ; Jakůbek, J. ; Holý, T. ; Valach, Jaroslav ; Vykydal, Z.
This work reports on the results of the experimental observation of generation and evolution of internal material damage during loading process in aluminium alloy flat specimen with stress concentrator. Material damage is investigated by means of the "X ray Dynamic Defectoscopy" technique. To understand related physical processes, the surface plastic strain field is investigated by the optical Method of Interpolated Ellipses while the out-of plane displacement field is inspected simultaneously by the optical Coded photometric stereo method.
Crack tip opening determination for a crack terminating at the bimaterial interface
Bareš, Pavel ; Knésl, Zdeněk
In the paper the method suggested by Irwin for the crack tip opening displacement (CTOD) determination in homogeneous materials is generalized and the analytical expression for the CTOD in the case of a crack with its tip at the interface of two different materials is presented. The obtained results are used to formulate the condition of stability of a crack terminating at the interface. The suggested method is applied herein on the critical stress calculation in a case of the through-cracked protective coating. The numerical calculations are performed by finite element method (system ANSYS)
Estimation of generalized stress intensity factors by means of mean value of strain energy density factor
Klusák, Jan
The contribution deals with bi-material wedges whose stress field is characterized by two stress singular terms. The exponents of stress singularity are generally in the interval (0; 1). For these cases each of the singularities covers both normal and shear mode of loading. Because of the inherently combined loading mode, it is advantageous to utilize the strain energy density concept. A mean value of the strain energy density factor taken from a numerical solution of particular materials junction is compared to its analytical representation to ascertain values H1 and H2. These values enter to stability criterion to indicate if crack is initiated in the wedge tip.
Compression test of a timber core - ANSYS model and moire interferometry experiment
Micka, Michal ; Minster, Jiří ; Václavík, P.
The paper presents results of modelling a non-standard compression test of timber, executed on small diameter cores in a special testing device. The test is semidestructive - friendly to historic timber. Numerical solution for elastic orthotropic material is correlated with results of moire-intererometry experimental data. The approach enables to define strengths and Young´s moduli of the assessed core.
