Strain field reconstruction of drawn polymer blends based on videorecording of stretching process
Převorovský, Zdeněk ; Krofta, Josef ; Blaháček, Michal ; Raab, Miroslav
Tensile tests of polypropylene and its blends with polyethylene and other additives have been recorded by digital camcorder. Acoustic emission (AE) was monitored during tests by two transducers attached to test samples, allowing linear location of AE**ces. Tested materials exhibit large localized plastic deformation - necking - reaching hundreds of percent before failure. Image analysis procedure is designed for quantitative evaluation of axial and lateral strains and strain rates along the sample
Experimental and computational investigation of elastic characteristics of porous materials
Janíček, P. ; Fuis, Vladimír ; Pešlová, F. ; Kotek, Vladimír ; Reinisch, M.
Ceramic material "Eucor" contained the pores. The pore size on the order of milimeters is typical for this material. The paper deals with problems of evaluating elastic constants at this type of material. The experiments showed that evaluating the electricity modulus from strains measured by electric resistance strain gauges is not credible because the measured strain values are influenced by strain concentrations in the pore vicinity.
Optical Determination of Constitutive Equations Parametersof Nonlinear Materials
Vavřík, Daniel ; Korouš, Jan ; Zemánková, Jaroslava ; Jaroš, P.
The paper presents simple optical experimental method fordetermination of constitutive equations parameters ofnonlinear materials. Usually only one extensometer orstrain gauge is used for the determination of strain inloading direction and one for the determination of acontraction in standard tensile test.
Experimental and numerical determination of the parametersof the Gurson model for ductile fracture
Laš, V. ; Řehounek, L. ; Vavřík, Daniel
The paper presents results of numerical fit of axisymmetricFE model utilizing the modified Gurson model into experimentalmeasurements of tensile strain and contraction evolutions ofnotched bars. This model combines plasticity and damage by intro-ducing porosity of a material in order to predict final fracture.
