Lengths of grapewine sprouts, air temperatures and heliogeophysical factors from the point of view of chronobiology
Střeštík, Jaroslav ; Mikulecký, M.
Series of sunspot numbers, indices of geomagnetic activity, mean air temperature in April and grapewine lengths measured to the 24th April were processed by power spectra and mutual coherences. Whereas spectra of sunspot numbers exhibit a pronounced peak at 11 yr, in spectra of other quantities more significant peaks occur.
Variability of daily average air temperatures during the observation in Prague-Klementinum
Střeštík, Jaroslav
Two quantities have been defined to describe the variability of average daily air temperatures with respect to the long-term annual course within a selected interval: low values mean that daily values do not differ substantially from the long-term annual course whereas high values indicate a big variability. These values were calculated for each year and each season from 1775 till 2000.
Solar and geomagnetic activity effects on wind fields in the Northern hemisphere winter lower troposhere
Bochníček, Josef ; Hejda, Pavel
The magnitude and prevailing direction of winds in the lower troposphere were analysed in the Northern hemisphere in the winter periods of the years 1964, 1967-1969, 1971-2001. Composite maps of those winds showed marked differences, in particular between the maps in which both activities were simultaneously low or high.
