XGPON module for Wireshark
Šuba, Patrik ; Horváth, Tomáš (oponent) ; Tomašov, Adrián (vedoucí práce)
The master's thesis deals with the design of a PcapNG file format for supporting XG-PON data and explores the possibilities of creating a module. The aim is to create a module as a technical tool for detailed analysis and diagnostics of XG-PON networks. The file design proposal consists of packet processing by a network analyzer and the creation of PcapNG format blocks. This file design proposal is implemented in a program written in the Python language. The Wireshark module is implemented in the LUA programming language which have native support for utilizing the new link layer. The use of the module involves configuring the application to support the XG-PON protocol and utilizing the module itself, which can process XG-PON frames in both directions of communication in the proposed PcapNG file. An important part was the verification of the module's functionality on data from an available XG-PON network, demonstrating its ability to correctly process data from a real environment. The result of the work is a tool for the analysis and diagnosis of XG-PON networks, which can contribute to better management of these modern optical networks.

Analysis of GPON frames using machine learning
Tomašov, Adrián ; Horváth, Tomáš (oponent) ; Holík, Martin (vedoucí práce)
This thesis focuses on the analysis of selected part of GPON frame using machine learning algorithms implemented by using TensorFlow library. Considering that the GPON protocol is defined as a set of recommendations, implementation by various device vendors may be different to designed protocol. Therefore, an analysis by a push-down automaton is not sufficient. The main goal is to create a system of models using TensorFlow library in Python3 capable of abnormality detection in the communication. These models use various architectures of neural networks (e.g. LSTM, autoencoder) and focus on different types of analysis. This system learns from baseline traffic and notifies about irregularities found in the newly captured traffic. As a result, the system estimates the similarity level of current traffic compared to the baseline.
Analysis of possible threats in old OS Linux version
Chovancová, Emília ; Dejdar, Petr (oponent) ; Tomašov, Adrián (vedoucí práce)
The bachelor thesis is focused on the security aspect of an older version of a Linux based machine. The document is split into a theoretical part which contains a description of what operating system, kernel, UNIX, GNU/LINUX and Linux OS are in general. Then the description proceeds to explanation of active and passive attacks such as replay, masquarade, denial of service, man in the middle or listening and analysing the network. Afterwards it continues with description of potentially vulnerable spots that are common on operating systems. With the help provided from scanning software, especially Nmap and Lynis, the document proceeds to the practical part which contains various types of successful and unsuccesfful attacks such as password recovery, denial of service, spectre, brute force of a password and cross-site scripting. The last part covers the protection against succesfull attacks and adds a little bit more of additional protection in general in a form of an ansible script.

Tomašov, Adrián ; Grégr, Matěj (oponent) ; Lichtner, Ondrej (vedoucí práce)
This thesis is focused on observing and simulating network congestion in laboratory conditions, and on automated testing of the protocol stack in the Linux operating system during network congestion. We perform a set of experiments to find the impact of network congestion on the protocol stack. The simulation and emulation method of this network using physical device will be described. The outcome of this thesis are various configurations of devices and emulators for network congestion together with measurements and evaluation of results. These configurations will be used for automated testing of the kernel of the Linux operating system to catch development errors, network protocol stack errors and card driver error earlier.
