This bachelor thesis focuses on the development of a tool for processing and converting nanopore signals. It starts by explaining the development of sequencing technologies, then introduces data formats containing information generated by nanopore sequencing, and finally introduces the reader to the conversion of a signal to a nucleotide sequence by a process called basecalling. The practical part addresses the implementation of a tool capable of searching for a selected nucleotide sequence in the generated reads, the export of selected sequencing run data as files of appropriate format, and the visualization of a signal of a selected read with the nucleotide positions highlighted.
