Icing on radiator used for heat pump for EV vehicles

This work is focused on the effect of condensation on the heat transfer of an electric car’s radiator. The theoretical part describes the working principle of the heat pump system and also includes a description of heat transfer in the radiator and condensation on its surface. The work describes a solution to reduce the amount of condensate, and various methods have been demonstrated. The process of frosting, the formation of ice on the surface of the heat exchanger, was also described, as well as mechanical damage resulting from frosting. In the practical part, simulation software will be used to compare the amount of condensate that appeared on the surface of the heat exchanger using the methods described below. Also, the simulation will determine the dependence of the heat flow on the amount of condensate.
