Distribution of shear stress produced by a shear force in a circular cross section
Martinko, Peter ; Šebek, František (oponent) ; Vaverka, Jiří (vedoucí práce)
This thesis deals with the problem of distribution of the shear stress at the circular cross section. Specifically it is a vertical component of the shear stress, a horizontal component of the shear stress and a total shear stress. In the thesis, for these individual shear stresses are derived equations describing their distribution at the circular cross section. With using the mathematical software Matlab, these equations are sketched, like 3D surfaces, where their individual shapes at the circular cross section can be seen. The vertical component of the shear stress has a parabolic shape. The horizontal component of the shear stress has a shape of general 3D surface like “flake”. The total shear stress has an elliptic shape, but only at the cross section boundary. However the shape of distribution gradually changes to parabolic at the axis of symmetry, within the circular cross. So the statement, that the total shear stress at the circular cross section has an elliptic shape is untrue.
