Cryo-electron tomography is a unique electron microscopy technique that allows 3D visualization of biomolecules, both isolated and inside cells. The primary objective of cryo-electron tomography is to maximize the number of projections while ensuring adequate image contrast and minimizing the cumulative electron dose. This thesis is focused on the evaluation of the quality of tomograms using a dose symmetric tilt scheme. Experiments were designed to investigate the impact of changing the tilt step, the group size, and adjusting the exposure time.
