Technology of roll forming

This thesis deals with the basic description of the production process of the continuous roll forming technology, which means to mould an infinite metal strip into required shape using the set of roll forming rollers. It also talks about different parts of the production line and its primary and secondary production machines including their pros and cons. In the thesis there are also characterised the main parts of the roll forming machine itself, which it contains of. Last but not the least, it explains the whole design and development process of the manufactured product including technical processing, manufacturing technology and all the other processing steps connected with the operation like adjusting and proper set up of the roll forming line for the production process.
Analysis of current parting and grooving technologies

This diploma thesis deals and comprehensively unifies the theoretical knowledge in the field of turning, grooving and parting of material. Furthermore, the thesis also deals with the theory of cutting tool materials as well as tool’s construction and shape characteristics. In the practical part of the thesis there is proposed procedure and conditions necessary to perform the experiment of the tool force loaded measurements, as well as the technical description of the grooving process. Last but not the least, all the measured data is evaluated and plotted into dependencies, from which the results and recommendations for the optimal groove cutting with the particular cutting tool are made.
