Zámečník, Tomáš ; Klinka, Tomáš (advisor) ; Suková Vychopňová, Kateřina (referee)
Annotation: Title of the thesis: Gamification in teaching/learning French as a second language Abstract in English This master's thesis focuses on the innovative field of gamification and its application in teaching French as a second foreign language. Gamification, whose elements are gradually implemented into teaching through modern pedagogical approaches, is examined in detail in the work, defining the term itself and introducing its key aspects. The work also deals with the historical development of gamification, which is traced in both the field of marketing and education. As part of the theoretical part, potential advantages and disadvantages of using gamification in teaching are outlined. Concrete examples of successful implementation of gamification in marketing and education are also presented, providing a comprehensive view of the possibilities and limitations of this approach. The practical part focuses on a detailed analysis and reflection of specific gamification elements in the popular language application Duolingo and in two selected French language textbooks. These elements are evaluated based on their frequency of occurrence, quality of execution, and potential effectiveness on student motivation. In case some elements are missing, the work suggests their possible supplementation. In...
Live-cell tracking in time-lapse sequences
Zámečník, Tomáš ; Šorel, Michal (advisor) ; Křivánek, Jaroslav (referee)
Title: Live-cell tracking in time-lapse sequences Author: Tomáš Zámečník Department: Department of Software and Computer Science Education Supervisor: RNDr. Michal Šorel Ph.D., Oddělení zpracování obrazu ÚTIA AV ČR Abstract: This diploma thesis deals with methods of tracking particles in image sequences. It's goal is to design and implement a complete system for tracking of live cells, their motion and division. The thesis uses conclusions of published scientific papers, studies their application and analyzes possibilities for their mo- difications or improvement. As a result, there are two applications. First of them is a demonstrational pro- gram, provided as an attachment of this thesis. Second implementation is a mo- dule of commercial software NIS-Elements, by Laboratory Imaging, Ltd., which is used by both scientific and commercial institutions in the whole world. Keywords: cell tracking, particle tracking, cell division 1
Curve Representations for Morphometrics
Zámečník, Tomáš ; Pelikán, Josef (advisor) ; Krajíček, Václav (referee)
This paper deals with analysis, research and implementation of various methods of curve representation in anthropology and methods for such curves detection in digital photography. Used methods appertain to computer image processing and analysis. Fundamental part of this work is software project - curve editor, included in Morphome3cs framework, which was developed by same-named team on Faculty of Mathematics and Physics on Charles University in Prague. As a motivation for this work, and simultaneously as a first application, served analysis of sexual dimorphism of the greater sciatic notch and replacement of contemporary used manual methods. Faculty of Science on Charles University in Prague deals with such sexual dimorphism research and this project is developed for it.

Vyhodnocení ohroženosti pozemků vybraného katastrálního území vodní erozí
Zámečník, Tomáš
This thesis is focused on evaluation of vulnerability of land cadastral area Rovečné water erosion and proposing specific erosion control measures. The intensity of the water erosion was determined by calculating the Universal Soil Loss Equation according Wischmeier and Smith. The calculation of the universal equation and determine the long-term average soil loss by erosion prior to the proposal and the proposal of its own anti-erosion measures was realized through the ArcGIS. Calculating factors universal equation was found that 213.80 ha (26.10% area) occurs very strong erosion, that has been proposed measures completely eliminated. The 156.34 ha (19.08%) there is a strong erosion, on 82.16 ha (10.03%) there is medium erosion and on 366.90 ha (44.79%) is a slight erosion. The proposed anti-erosion measures were mainly the introduction of the minimization tillage the cultivation of crops. For a comprehensive erosion control of area where was persisting increased erosion was designed protective grassing.
