Education and innovation with the support of ICT in kindergartens

The final bachelor's thesis presents in its theoretical part knowledge in the field of education in kindergarten with the support of information and communication technologies. It follows the possibilities of implication given by a general educational plan, describes the role of the teacher and the kindergarten principal. Marginally it deals with the support of the state institutions, especially the Czech School Inspectorate. The thesis explains the concept of innovation in education, discusses the situation abroad and the potential risks of using modern technology in kindergarten. The practical part, through a questionnaire survey, monitors the role of the kindergarten principal in the process of implementation of information and communication technologies in the educational process of kindergarten; it identifies which information and communication technologies are actually in use in selected kindergartens. In open-ended questions it has an ambition to seek the views of the kindergarten principals on their plans for the acquisition of new technologies, their experience with using the existing technologies and also their views on the largest and most common barriers to include new technologies in the educational process.
