Fast-growing Trees as a Tool for Preventing the Impacts of Climate Change
Humešová, Tereza ; Syrovátka, Oldřich (advisor) ; Weger, Jan (referee)
This work was created as a response to the drought in the summer of 2015, which revealed the risks associated with a lack of moisture in the soil due to inadequate management landscape. The main objective is to select areas in the chosen territory where it would be desirable to implement measures that would lead to stabilization of drainage conditions, and support the landscape and territorial system of ecological stability (biodiversity). In addition to creating the appropriate landscape features and the introduction of environmentally friendly agricultural crops eligible planting fast-growing trees (FGT), which on agricultural land, for the interest of stabilizing of drainage conditions, in many ways irreplaceable alternate functions of the forest. This culture is therefore paid special attention; Work has focused on the estimation of the possible production of wood and possibility of its eventual use.The study is prepared as a possible basis for practical solutions to complex land arrangements in the cadastral areas. It was found that the FGT would be advisable to cultivate an area of up to 2461 ha.
Surveying Conditions for the Creation of Clusters Making full use of Local Renewable Resources in various Regions
Macková, Eva ; Syrovátka, Oldřich (advisor) ; Weger, Jan (referee)
My thesis deals with a creating of conditions, which limit or implicate the creation of clusters focused on exploitation of renewable energy in regions. The theoretical part is focused on general issues of clusters, especially their definition, financing and last but not least their function. One part is focused on renewable energy, biomass and the cultivation of fast-growing trees. The thesis also deals with the economic aspects of production of the fast-growing trees. The target of my thesis is to sketch the demandingness of the project and to verify if this project is realizable from the economic aspect. The practical part of my thesis is focused on creating principles and rules for the cultivation of fast-growing trees. This part analyses the summary of revenues, costs and their total appreciation. The final part of my thesis evaluates relevant risks of this project and possible recommendations for the implementation of the successful strategy.

This dissertation deal with problems of fast growing trees (FGT). The aim is to create transparent summary of views and problems, which the public perceives in connection with growing FGT. On the basis of discovered knowledge is to map conditions in Trebic region which have an influence on creating supplier customerś relations, focusing on growing and processing FGT. The aim of this thesis was to plot the conditions which influence creation of supplier- consumer relationship (of nets, clusters) focused on usage of renewable sources of energy. Short rotation coppices (SRC) were emphasized. There was processed general issue of countryside evelopment, unemployment trend in agriculture and possibilities of activities diversification in relation with SRC production in theoretical part of my thesis. Research realisation of production significance together with SRC usage in countryside areas awareness was included in the applied part. Obtained knowledge and information were analyzed and evaluated. Output of this thesis can be used to infrom involved subjects and routine utilisation.
