Persuasive Language Used in Presentations by Information Technology Students

Cílem této práce je vymezit koncept rétoriky a persuasivního jazyka. Práce začíná rétorickou analýzou a definuje rétorickou situaci. Dále poskytuje informace o umění přesvědčování, jeho historii a použití. Těžištěm práce je přehled charakteristických persuasivních prostředků, který se zaměřuje nejen na používání persuasivních jazykových struktur, ale také specifickou slovní zásobu. Analytická část této práce převádí teorii do praxe prostřednictvím podrobné analýzy a srovnání persuasivních prostředků používaných studenty informačních technologií v odborných prezentacích. Zabývá se persuasivními strategiemi, jakými jsou emoční důraz v řeči, používání osobních zájmen, spojovací výrazy, trojice slov nebo lichocení.

The effect of turbidity on the behaviour of bleak Alburnus alburnus

3 Abstract: In group-living species, social interactions with conspecifics play a crucial role in group formation and the ability to make consensus decisions, which far-reaching reaching consequences for ecological and evolutionary processes in natural populations. Individual recognition and partner preferences based on social familiarity are important mechanisms driving a range of interactions between individual fish as well as social structure in fish populations. However, social interactions of gregarious species are also influenced by the ecological environment experienced by individuals. My thesis aimed to define how the social structure of fish shoals is shaped by environmental based constraints presented by increased turbidity in anthropogenically impacted rivers. A freshwater, shoal-forming, visually orientated pelagic fish - bleak (Alburnus alburnus) - was used as a model organism. In the laboratory experimenbehaviorour of 40 individuals at three different levels of turbidity (0 NTU, 30 NTU, 60 NTU) were observed. My thesis aimed to find out how increased turbidity influences the shoals' structure, specifically if the turbidity reduces between individual distances in response to the deteriorated visual conditions. Mobile application for victims of bullying

This thesis aims to define the concept of bullying, its division, participants, consequences and possible solutions or prevention. It also provides a summary of the concept of bullying from a legal perspective. All this is important for understanding the insidiousness of bullying and the reason for creating this thesis. Furthermore, the general Android application development, architecture, mobile application development environment, tools, and basic steps are discussed. A graphical concept of the actual app design is shown and the implementation of the app in the Android Studio environment is described. Finally, user tests are processed and analysed.
