Hydrofyzikální vlastnosti lesních půd v hlavních porostních typech přírodní lesní oblasti 3 - Karlovarská vrchovina
Velek, Martin
This thesis is focused on the evaluation of selected hydrophysical and chemical properties of soils in relation to the typological and natural characteristics of selected locations. The selected localities were located in a natural forest area – the Karlovy Vary Highlands, where a field survey and soil sampling were carried out at 16 localities. The bulk density, reduced bulk density, water retention capacity, porosity, aeration, total soil carbon content, soil potential exchange reaction, physical clay content and humus stock were determined from the soil samples. The obtained data were compared with each other and evaluated with respect to the character of the nature localities. From the results, it was found that there are differences in some values of individual soil properties in spruce stands with lower naturalness, compared to control sites with a natural composition of trees. This trend was mainly observed in the values of water retention capacity and total carbon content.
Stanoviště reliktních borů v jihozápadní části Českého masivu
Velek, Martin
This bachelor thesis deals with selected natural habitats with the occurrence of forest pine (Pinus sylvestris). Selected locations are located in the southwestern part of the Bohemian Massif in conditions of higher hillsides and highlands. The rock trenches of the localities are formed in the lower parts of the slate and the scallops of the upper proteozoic, in the central parts there are the bumblebee knots which form the character of the territory. On these azonal sites, complex soil samples of O- and A-horizons were collected. Samples are compared to selected soil properties. The laboratory results were confronted with the findings from field surveys at selected localities
