Aside of Interest Supervised by State. Origins and Transformations of the Former Seigneurial Building in Malešice

The aim of the study was to cast light on history of central edifice of Malešice manor, until now rather unclear. Inevitably, its story has to begin by the description of the initial purpose of construction at the end of the 17th century, followed by later transformations covering up the former role of the building. A closer look at individual periods of the edifice's history needed to be placed in a context and linked with historical events impacting significantly not only the execution of property rights, but also the physical aspect of the building and connected properties. The development showed, at the beginning, usual characteristics of the nobility administration. However, specific relation between new owner, Charles University, secular faculties respectively, and changing state administration bodies developed by the 18 century. State administration managed to execute successfully their strong influence on decisions concerning as the University real estate, as its metamorphoses motivated by the instantaneous decisions guided by financial interests only, without consideration of potential future impact. Village formation in the Horácko region during the late mountain settlement

The aim of this study is to illustrate, using the case of the village of České Milovy, the period of late mountains colonisation at the end of the first third of 18th century and influence of arrival of new settlers on established order of Rychmburk manor. The present study also wishes to provide the insight to the changing life of this dominical village and its inhabitants, and, by comparing it with other municipalities situated in the target region, it searches for common signs and/or disparities. In particular, rules for conditions of land allotment and obligations toward the lords are focused. As the rules were changing during period observed, the attention is concentrated on impact of those changes to the image of the commune and its progressive incorporation into the set of older villages of Rychmbourg area, as well as on the stabilisation of intra-community links. Last part of the present study aims to assess the influence of events since the mid-19th and hectic 20th centuries on habits of the village and on how this impact modified its overall now- a-days picture.

Práce se zabývá ekonomickým vývojem Botswany od získání nezávislosti. Ekonomický vývoj subsaharské Afriky za poslední čtyři dekády je zoufalý, nicméně Botswana dosáhla za stejné období jednoho z největších růstů HDP na světě. Práce prezentuje historicko-politický rozvoj, poté se věnuje ekonomickému vývoji a jeho analýze a nakonec indentifikuje současné problémy a výzvy do budoucnosti.
