Analysis of drinking mode of university students Czech republic

The diploma thesis deals with analysis of the drinking regime of students of the Technical and Economic University (VŠTE) in České Budějovice. The theoretical part contains informations of the drinking regime in general, the suitability of widely discussed and used beverages. At the end of the theoretical part are the best recommendations, which todays literature, studies and other sources can offer. I have used questionnaire survey for the quantitative research. A total of 1515 students of the Technical and Economic University in České Budějovice have attented this questionnaire survey. Obtained answers are then evulated and compared with given hypotheses in the practical part.
Alternative types of nourishment by students of university in České Budějovice

This bachelor thesis deals with alternative ways of nutrition diet of college students in Ceske Budejovice. The theoretical part explains the characteristics of the most known alternative diets and their possible nutrition risks. Furthermore, the theoretical part discusses possible reasons for the transition to alternative eating habits. The practical part evaluates the representation of alternative ways of college students' diet in Ceske Budejovice. It also discovers the rate of representation of the particular alternative ways of nourishment, students' opinions on the alternative diet and the amount of fluid intake with regards to a way of nourishment. In addition, it discusses intake of food complements and the changes that are recognized after the transition to an alternative diet. The analysis is based on the quantitative research, which was completed by the anonymous electronic questionnaire. The gathered data are presented in tables and graphs.
New potential antivirals against tick-borne encephalitis virus infection

The experimental work of the thesis was concentrated on studying of the inhibition effect of twenty-six chemical substances on tick-borne encephalitis virus. The substances showing inhibition effect in High Throughput Screening assay were processed to Cytotoxicity assay, where their toxic effect on tissue cell cultures was determined. Subsequently, substances with inhibition effect and no cytotoxic effect were incubated with cell culture and virus in two different incubation time periods and the supernatant containing virions was examined using plaque assay.
