Questions of tolerance of the Czech youth towards foreigners

The thesis presented is directed towards the niatter of tolerance of Czech youth towards foreigners, possibly refugees. Its theoretical part is concerned with defining the term "migration" and its impact on the Czech society; it describes the temporary situation of foreigners in the Czech Republic on the labour market; it provides an outline of peculiarities of selected minorities and engages in various aspects of the sociál integration of foreigners; it purveys a brief introduction to the realm of human rights and of the position of a refugee in the Czech Republic. The practical part is elaborated on the basis of a questionnaire designated for three types of schools; it surveys the pupils' awareness of the foreign realm and marginally also the refugee realm and human rights. It focuses also on the pupils' attitueds towards foreigners. I would like to dedicate my thesis to the generál public and to those organizations interested in training elementray and secondary schools' pedagogues and caseworkers in the field of multicultural eduction. Its outcomes should serve as a material which shall cover the missing information dealing with the situation of foreigners in the Czech Republic.
