Primary Schools in small Communities

This graduation thesis is focused on the topic of primary schools based in small villages. It is divided into two parts, theoretical and empirical. The theoretical part brings basic characteristic of education system, its legislation and financing. There is also described education system of the Czech Republic in the theoretical part and main focus is on primary schools, their financing, management, relationships between schools and their founders. There is mentioned characteristic of small primary schools as well. The empirical part contains description of large research followed by analysis of the current situation of three primary village schools. Results of the research are evaluated and in the conclusion their current issues are described. There are also identified reasons why these schools should be preserved and their sustainability is evaluated.
