Globalization, culture and Islam

This thesis is a study of connection between globalization, culture and Islam. The main goal is to bring basic definition of the mentioned phenomena and try to show theoretical facts, show the linking. The thesis brings the main theories and facts which are good for understanding present and also potential evolution of the cultural co-existence in terms of globalization. In the section which concerns globalization, the thesis is related mainly with political, economical, social, demographical, ecological and cultural characteristics and especially with their influence on intersections of Islam and Western cultural traditions. The chapters which are related to Islam try to deal mainly with the sources and pillars of Islam, special attention is payed on the cultural influences. In the end my thesis summarises all knowledge and tries to bring new alternatives of coexistence of civilizations, cultures or even shows new and other ways of future research. My thesis notes in particular the need of further exploration of possible alternatives to the coexistence of different cultural patterns, their penetration, the severity of possible overlaps of the issue to the mutual relations of different worlds within the meaning of civilization and culture.
