Analysis of GPON frames using machine learning
Výstupom systému odhad podobnosti aktuálnej komunikácie v porovnaní so vzorovou komunikáciou.
Analysis of possible threats in old OS Linux version
Chovancová, Emília ; Dejdar, Petr (referee) ; Tomašov, Adrián (advisor)
The bachelor thesis is focused on the security aspect of an older version of a Linux based machine. The document is split into a theoretical part which contains a description of what operating system, kernel, UNIX, GNU/LINUX and Linux OS are in general. Then the description proceeds to explanation of active and passive attacks such as replay, masquarade, denial of service, man in the middle or listening and analysing the network. Afterwards it continues with description of potentially vulnerable spots that are common on operating systems. With the help provided from scanning software, especially Nmap and Lynis, the document proceeds to the practical part which contains various types of successful and unsuccesfful attacks such as password recovery, denial of service, spectre, brute force of a password and cross-site scripting. The last part covers the protection against succesfull attacks and adds a little bit more of additional protection in general in a form of an ansible script.
Automated Testing of OS Linux Protocol Stack Behaviour During Congestion
Následne bude popísaný spôsob simulácie a emulácie takejto siete fyzickým zariadením. Výstupom tejto práce budú rôzne konfigurácie strojov a emulátorov pre zahltenie siete, a k ním priložená sada meraní s vyhodnotením výsledkov. Tieto konfigurácie budú použité v automatizovanom testovaní jadra operačného systému Linux, aby sa chyby vo vývoji a pri implementácii sieťových protokolov a ovládačov pre sieťové karty našli rýchlejšie.
Autonegotiation implementation for 25 - 100 Gbps Ethernet interfaces
Válek, Vladislav ; Jedlička, Petr (referee) ; Tomašov, Adrián (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis addresses the design of the auto-negotiation component for network interface cards controlled by FPGAs. Auto-negotiation function allows to advertise the available communication parameters, like the link speed, the transmission pause ability or Forward Error Correction (FEC) ability, by either side of the common link and determine the common abilities, which will be used to establish a connection. In the beginning, the internal parts of Xilinx UltraScale+ FPGA family are introduced with greater emphasis on the description of GTY transceivers. In the next chapter are introduced the mechanisms of auto-negotiation function as described in clause 73 of the IEEE 802.3-2018 standard. The design here is created for Ethernet interfaces running at speed 25~Gbps and is written in VHDL language. The next chapter describes the necessary steps which are required for the implementation on the FPGAs, where high-speed transceivers are in use. Function of the created design was then checked within a simulation and the correspondent results are also provided in this thesis. In the end, the testing of the designed auto-negotiation component took place for which the network card with Vitex 7 UltraScale+ FPGA was used. The testing process includes the use of the Integrated Logic Analyzer (ILA) which was inserted into final design. The achieved results from testing of both, the auto-negotiation process and surrounding physical layer processes, are described here with proper commentary.
Communication between control units in the automotive industry
Jurek, Martin ; Tomašov, Adrián (referee) ; Dejdar, Petr (advisor)
The topic of this bachelor thesis is communication between control units of door systems in public transport. Firstly, the regulations that a communication system must comply with are described to be used in public transport. Furthermore, systems for communication via optical fiber, metallic lines and wirelessly using Bluetooth Low Energy are designed. The technologies used are theoretically described and the designed systems are implemented using the development board Lolin 32 ESP-WROOM-32 and Arduino Uno. The systems are designed to capture inputs from a driver or passengers that are then shown on a display. The created transmission systems are described in more detail in the thesis.
Implementation of SCADA architecture into fiber optic seNSING systems
Šišolák, Filip ; Tomašov, Adrián (referee) ; Dejdar, Petr (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of data control and acquisition using SCADA technology and the subsequent implementation of two-way communication. The theoretical examination also includes an analysis of the current state of use of SCADA in optical sensing systems. In view of the shortcomings of the available SCADA systems, our own software programmed in the LabVIEW development environment is implemented. The Modbus TCP protocol is used for communication with the myRIO platform. Part of the work is also the analysis of the maximum achievable throughput with the Modbus TCP protocol.
100G passive optical network
Sporni, Alex ; Tomašov, Adrián (referee) ; Horváth, Tomáš (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the current state of development of passive optical networks, with the main emphasis on high-speed passive optical networks of 50 Gb/s and higher. The opening part of the thesis provides a theoretical introduction to optical access networks, their division, elements of passive optical networks and the subsequent analysis of the latest standards. As part of the implementation, simulation topologies for various simulation scenarios are designed in the VPIphotonics Transmission Maker tool. The proposed simulations are properly evaluated in the next chapter. The quality of the proposed simulation topology is assessed using bit/symbol error rate and in some cases in combination with an eye diagram (quality factor). The output of the work are simulation scenarios for various configurations and modulation formats of the proposed optical networks. The output of the work is also a laboratory task, which will be used for teaching purposes.
